1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Michael:
On Palm Sunday we will enter Jerusalem with our Lord Jesus Christ. And the body of Christ which is the church; that is us; His own people, will enter the Holy Week with Him.
In order to prepare for this sacred time leading to our Lord’s Passion and Resurrection, here are some Quotes from the saints to meditate on:
"We give glory to You, Lord, who raised up your cross to span the Jews of death like a bridge by which souls might pass from the region of the dead to the land of the living. You are incontestably Alive. Your murderers sowed Your living Body in the earth as farmers sow grain, but it sprang up and yielded an abundant harvest of men raised from the dead. " St. Ephrem the Syrian
"The death of the Lord our God Should not be a cause of shame for us; rather it should be our greatest hope, our greatest glory. In taking upon Himself the death that He found in us, He has most faithfully promised to give us life in Him, such as we cannot have ourselves." St. Augustine

3. Services on Friday the Seal of Lent – Friday 23 April
All 3 services start with the Unction of Sick mass followed by the liturgy:
4:30-7:30am (Arabic Church)
8-11am (Arabic Church)
8-11am (Upper Room Church)
4. Primary Literacy/ Reading Groups
Classes resume Friday April 23rd for Term 2. Some vacancies exist in Years 1,3,4,5,6. Details in the poster below. Program includes Naplan preparation for Years 3 & 5.
Every Friday 6:30-7:30pm. Cost is $5/week/child goes to St Wanas Kids Charity.

6. Bereavement Announcement for beloved Isis Kelada
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelation 21:4)
Isis Kelada departed to paradise and now is in the embrace of Our Lord.
Isis is the beloved wife of late Dr Fawzy Kaiser Boulos in Egypt. Mother of Hala Bolous from Sydney and siblings Howayda and Mamdouh Boulos living overseas. Mother-in-law to Michael Takla and Samer Hakim. Grandmother of Sylvia, Christine and Daniel Takla, as well as, Andrew and Rami Hakim.
The memorial service ‘Azza’ will be on Saturday, 17th April 7:00-8:30 pm in the hall at St Mark’s Church, Arncliffe.
May God repose her soul in the Paradise of Joy and give Peace and comfort to all the family and friends.

يوم أحد الشعانين، سندخل اورشليم مع ربنا يسوع المسيح. وجسم السيد المسيح الذي هو الكنيسة؛ التي هي نحن؛ شعبه، سندخل أسبوع الآلام معه.
من أجل الاستعداد لهذا الوقت المقدس الذي يأخذنا إلى آلام السيد المسيح ثم إلى قيامته، هنا بعض أقوال القديسين للتأمل فيها:

٤. معرفة القراءة والكتابة للصفوف الابتدائية/ مجموعات القراءة
تستأنف الفصول يوم الجمعة الموافق ٢٣ أبريل للفصل الدراسي الثاني. توجد أماكن متاحة في الصفوف ١، ٣، ٤، ٥، ٦.
التفاصيل في البوستر المرفق. يتضمن البرنامج الإعداد ل Naplan للصف الثالث والصف لخامس.
كل جمعة من ٦:٣٠ – ٧:٣٠ مساءً. التكلفة ٥ دولارات في الاسبوع لكل طفل لصالح مؤسسة القديس ونس الخيرية.

رحلت السيدة ايزيس قلادة الى الفردوس وهي الأن فى حضن ربنا يسوع المسيح
ايزيس هي زوجة الراحل الدكتور فوزي قيصر بولس في مصر. ووالدة هالة بولس في سيدني وهويدا وممدوح بولس بالخارج. وحماة مايكل تكلا وسامر حكيم. وجدة سيلفيا وكريستين ودانيال تكلا، وأيضاً جدة اندرو ورامي حكيم.
سيقام العزاء يوم السبت ١٧ أبريل من ٧ – ٨:٣٠ مساءً في قاعة كنيسة القديس مار مرقس بارنكليف.
