1. Weekly Spiritual MessageSpiritual message of the week by Father Michael:
Romans 12:2 ” And do not be confirmed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”.
Now that we are approaching the end of the Coptic year. We need to balance the account of our spiritual life.
That is by the renewal of our mind and by getting closer to God, and have a healthy relationship with God and everyone.
For one day we will be standing in the front of the Just Judge. Either we come under His wrath, or we will hear those beautiful words ” Enter into the joy of your Lord”. Matthew 25:23. Today we can balance the account. By returning away from our bad ways, and make amendments, by letting go off all the things that keep us away from God.
Our pride, love of money, and wrong lusts.
Look and see at the opportunity our loving Father is giving into us “for God not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance”. 2 Peter 3:9.
So let us not postpone this return to God for tomorrow may be too late.
2. Term 3 Kids ActivitiesSt Marks church offers a wide range of kids activities during the term. This is a great way for your child to build on their skills within the church environment.

3. Art Day – Saturday 26 August
Pre Kindy – Year 1: 11:30am – 12:30pm
Year 2 – Year 6: 12 – 1pm.

4. St Mark’s Families Camp Update
Thank you all for booking the St Mark Families Camp from the 1st – 3rd of Dec. We’re so excited to add more rooms so that more families can join us. Please book for a blessed weekend away where we can all gather and grow together in Christ. The agenda includes several spiritual talks by our church Fathers, interactive workshops that will be delivered by subject matter experts and a jam packed weekend of activities for the kids. The cabins include linen, an equipped kitchen with a ceiling fan, aircon, microwave & a fridge for more convenience. We will also have a pop-up desk in front of the Church hall on Sunday the 27th of August after the Holy Liturgy to share more about what to expect and answer your questions. 5. Rockdale Raiders – Grand Finals!

6. New Church Bus Service – expression of interest required
St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church is considering starting a new bus service on Sunday mornings picking up and dropping off members of the congregation to and from Wolli Creek or Arncliffe train stations.
For this service to be successful we need to know how many people would be interested in this service. The times will operate based on train arrival times at both stations and it is intended that a feature will be built into the app to notify the driver when you are on approach to your station.

والآن وقد اقتربنا من نهاية السنة القبطية. نحن بحاجة إلى موازنة حساب حياتنا الروحية.
وذلك بتجديد أذهاننا والتقرب من الله، وبناء علاقة سوية مع الله ومع الجميع.
سنقف يوماً ما أمام القاضي العادل. فإما أن نتعرض لغضبه، أو نسمع تلك الكلمات الجميلة “ادخل إلى فرح سيدك”. متى 25:23. اليوم يمكننا موازنة الحساب. بالرجوع عن طرقنا الرديئة، وإجراء تغيير، بالتخلي عن كل الأشياء التي تبعدنا عن الله.
كبريائنا وحبنا للمال والشهوات الخاطئة.
انظر إلى الفرصة التي يمنحها لنا أبونا المحب “وهو لا يشاء أن يهلك أناس، بل أن يقبل الجميع إلى التوبة”. 2 بطرس 3: 9.
دعونا لا نؤجل هذه العودة إلى الله لأن الغد قد يكون متأخراً جداً.
٢. أنشطة التيرم الثالث للأطفال
تقدم كنيسة سانت مارك مجموعة متنوعة من أنشطة الأطفال خلال التيرم. تُعد هذه طريقة رائعة ليتمكن طفلك من تنمية مهاراته داخل محيط الكنيسة.

يتضمن البرنامج العديد من الكلمات الروحية التي يلقيها آباء الكنيسة، وورش عمل تفاعلية سيقدمها خبراء في الموضوعات المطروحة، وعطلة نهاية أسبوع مليئة بالأنشطة للأطفال. تحتوي الكبائن على الملايات ومطبخ مجهز بمروحة سقف وتكييف وميكروويف وثلاجة لمزيد من الراحة.
سيكون لدينا أيضًا مكتب مؤقت أمام قاعة الكنيسة يوم الأحد 27 أغسطس بعد القداس الإلهي لمشاركة المزيد حول ما يمكن توقعه والإجابة على أسئلتك.

٦. تعبيرعن الرغبة – خدمة النقل بالاتوبيس من وإلى محطة القطار
تدرس كنيسة القديس مار مرقس القبطية الأرثوذكسية بدء خدمة جديدة للاتوبيسات صباح يوم الأحد لنقل أعضاء الكنيسة من وإلى محطات القطار Wolli Creek و Arncliffe.
لكي تكون هذه الخدمة ناجحة، نحتاج إلى معرفة عدد الأشخاص الراغبين في هذه الخدمة. سيعتمد تحديد وقت تشغيل الاتوبيسات على أوقات وصول القطارات في كل من المحطتين ومن المفترض أن يتضمن التطبيق على خاصية تُعلم بها السائق باقترابك من محطتك.
