1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Michael:
Christmas: A time of reflection – hope for eternal life; " For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved".
Acts 4:12
Our Lord Jesus Christ was born in a manger, wrapped up in swaddling clothes, bound by it.
For the true King is the One, Who is bound to the other in love. Who becomes weak for the sake of the other.
The earthly king comes to be fed by his people. Unlike our heavenly eternal king comes food for His people; This is my body, this is my blood – I am food and drink for you. So you may eat and drink eternity.
Earthly kings have armies that come with powerful weapons for destruction. But our King has a host of angels, and their weapons are love, compassion and non- violence.
So, let us all reflect on Baby Jesus who comes to take us with Him to heaven. Let us all reflect on the spiritual power that comes shining through Christmas.
2. Kiahk Praises – Starting from this Saturday 10th December
Kiahk Services will be conducted in 2 sessions on Saturdays:
1. Early Saturday 2am till 6am: midnight praise (7&4) followed by liturgy from 6am till 8am.
2. Saturday nights 7&4 Tasbeha: Vespers praise Saturday 4pm till 6pm. Vespers raising of incense followed by midnight praise (7&4): 6pm till 11pm followed by a holy liturgy late Saturday night liturgy from 11pm to after midnight.
3. Extra Mass during Nativity Fast
We will pray a late mass at 1 -3pm each Friday during the Nativity Fast.
The church wishes you a blessed Nativity fast, full of holiness and a spiritual revival that we really need.
4. St Mark Family Fellowship Seminar – this Sunday 11 December
Parent Seminar Topic: Finding Peace in Difficult Times

5. Lions Lounge – every Thursday 7:30pm
Weekly spiritual meeting in an informal relaxed environment, also suitable for non-Copts.

8. St Wanas Christmas Appeal
St Wanas Foundation has launched a Christmas appeal to offer gifts to the less fortunate kids around the world.

Bookings can now be taken for the Summer Holiday Period: 19 December 2022 – 24 January 2023.

10. 40th Day Commemoration for beloved Soheir Shaker
The 40th day commemoration for beloved mother Soheir Shaker, will be held during the 8:30am Liturgy on Saturday 10 December.
Aghaby will follow in the hall next to the St Wanas (Kids) Church.

عيد الميلاد المجيد: هو وقت للتأمل – هو رجاء في الحياة الأبدية؛ " لأن ليس اسم آخر تحت السماء قد أعطي بين الناس به ينبغي أن نخلص" سفر الأعمال ٤:١٢
وُلِد ربنا يسوع المسيح في مذود ملفوفًا بأقمطة.
لأن الملك الحقيقي هو الذي يرتبط بالآخر في المحبة. هو الذي يصير ضعيفاً من أجل الآخر.
يأتي الملك الأرضي ليُطعمه شعبه. على عكس ملكنا السماوي الأبدي يأتي كطعاماً لشعبه. هذا جسدي، هذا دمي – أنا طعام وشراب لك. حتى تأكل وتشرب الأبدية.
ملوك الأرض لديهم جيوش تأتي بأسلحة قوية للتدمير. لكن ملكنا لديه إعداد لا تحصى من الملائكة، وأسلحتهم هي المحبة والرحمة وعدم عنف.
لذا، فلنتأمل جميعًا في الطفل يسوع الذي يأتي ليأخذنا معه إلى السماء. فلنتأمل جميعًا في القوة الروحية التي تشرق علينا خلال عيد الميلاد المجيد.

ستقام تسبحة كيهك على فترتين أيام السبت
.1فجر السبت من ٢ – ٦ صباحاً: تسبحة نصف الليل ( ٧ و ٤) ثم قداس من ٦ – ٨ صباحاً
.2مساء السبت تسبحة ٧ و٤: عشية يوم السبت من ٤ – ٦ مساءً رفع بخور ، ثم تسبحة نصف الليل (٧و٤) من ٦ – ١١ مساءً، ثم قداس من ١١ مساءً وحتى منتصف الليل
٣.قداس إضافي خلال صوم الميلاد
سنصلي قداس متأخر من ١ – ٣ ظهراً كل جمعة خلال صوم الميلاد
تتمنى لكم الكنيسة صوم ميلاد مملوء بالبركة والقداسة والنهضة الروحية التي نحتاجها جميعاً
