On the occasion of the Feast of departure of St Augustine 28th August 430AD
St. Augustine, after years of living in sin and searching for truth, was in deep spiritual anguish. In the garden in Milan, he wept over his restless heart, feeling unable to change his own heart. It was then that he heard a childlike voice saying repeatedly: “Take and read! Take and read!” Believing this to be a divine instruction, St Augustine picked up the Bible that was nearby and opened it randomly. His eyes fell on the passage: “Not in reviling and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy, but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh.” (Romans 13:13–14) Reading this, St Augustine felt his heart overwhelmed with grace. He immediately repented and surrendered his life to God. This moment marked the turning point in his life, leading him to a life of holiness, study, and service to the Church. St. Augustine’s life is a testament to the transforming power of God’s love. For many years, he sought fulfillment in worldly pleasures, status, and ambition, but his heart remained restless. It was only when he turned fully to God that he discovered true peace, writing, “You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.” His story reminds us that the love of God is the only source of lasting joy and happiness, and that all earthly attachments are temporary and incomplete without Him. St Augustine’s conversion also teaches the beauty of total abandonment to Christ and renunciation of the world’s empty desires. In the garden when he open his bible , he surrendered his whole life to God, offering his memory, understanding, and will entirely to the Lord. Through this surrender, he found freedom, mercy, and purpose, dedicating his life to preaching and guiding others toward God’s love. On his feast day, we are invited to reflect on our own hearts, to abandon ourselves to Christ, to seek His love above all, and to let go of what keeps us from true intimacy with Him. |

We have secured exclusive access to the Arncliffe West Infants School Car Park on Sunday mornings every week.

Let’s make good use of this generous opportunity to help ease parking for our neighbours and strengthen our ties with the local community.
Important to note: The carpark will be locked from 1pm on Sundays, so please ensure your cars are removed before this time.

شعب الكنيسة المبارك برجاء الاطلاع على الإعلانات التالية:
١. الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس ابونا أوغسطينوس بمناسبة عيد نياحة القديس أوغسطينوس 28 أغسطس 430 م كان القديس أوغسطينوس، بعد سنوات من حياة الخطيئة والبحث عن الحقيقة، في عذاب روحي عميق. في الحديقة في ميلانو، بكى على قلبه المضطرب، وشعر بأنه غير قادر على تغيير قلبه. عندها سمع صوتا طفوليا يقول مرارا وتكرارا: “خذ واقرأ!” خذ واقرأ!” يعتقدا أن هذا توجيه إلهي، مسك القديس أوغسطينوس الكتاب المقدس الذي كان قريبا منه وفتحه بشكل عشوائي. سقطت عيناه على الآية: لِنَسْلُكْ بِلِيَاقَةٍ كَمَا فِي النَّهَارِ: لاَ بِالْبَطَرِ وَالسُّكْرِ، لاَ بِالْمَضَاجعِ وَالْعَهَرِ، لاَ بِالْخِصَامِ وَالْحَسَدِ. بَلِ الْبَسُوا الرَّبَّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحَ وَلاَ تَصْنَعُوا تَدْبِيرًا لِلْجَسَدِ لأَجْلِ الشَّهَوَاتِ.”(رومية 13: 13-14) عند قراءة هذا، شعر القديس أوغسطينوس بأن قلبه غارق في النعمة. تاب على الفور وسلم حياته لله. كانت هذه اللحظة بمثابة نقطة تحول في حياته، مما قاده إلى حياة القداسة والدراسة وخدمة الكنيسة. إن حياة القديس اوغسطينوس هي شهادة على قوة التحول التي لمحبة الله. لسنوات عديدة، سعى إلى تحقيق الملذات والمكانة والطموح الدنيوي، لكن قلبه ظل لا يهدأ. فقط عندما التفت إلى الله تماما، اكتشف السلام الحقيقي، وكتب: “لقد خلقتنا لنفسك يا رب، وقلبنا لا يهدأ حتى يستريح فيك”. تذكرنا قصته بأن محبة الله هي المصدر الوحيد للفرح والسعادة الدائمين، وأن جميع الملاهي الأرضية مؤقتة وغير مكتملة بدونه. يعلمنا تحول القديس اوغوسطينوس أيضا جمال التسليم التام للسيد المسيح والتخلي عن رغبات العالم الهاوية. في الحديقة عندما فتح كتابه المقدس، استسلم طوال حياته لله، وقدم ذاكرته وفهمه بل وإرادته بالكامل للرب. من خلال هذا الاستسلام، وجد الحرية والرحمة والهدف، وكرس حياته للوعظ وتوجيه الآخرين نحو محبة الله. في يوم عيده، نحن مدعوون للتفكير في قلوبنا، لتسليم أنفسنا للسيد المسيح، للبحث عن محبته قبل كل شيء، والتخلي عن ما يمنعنا عن تحقيق علاقة حميمة حقيقية معه. ٢.أنشطة لجمع التبرعات شعب الكنيسة المبارك، يسرنا أن نعلن أنه تم إنشاء منطقة مخصصة لأنشطة جمع التبرعات خارج ملعب الأطفال. تهدف هذه المساحة إلى تسهيل وتنظيم جميع جهود جمع التبرعات المتعلقة بالكنيسة بطريقة منظمة وفعالة. إذا كنت ترغب في تنظيم أي نشاط لجمع التبرعات في الكنيسة، فيرجى توجيه طلبك إلى ماريان حنا للموافقة عليه. يمكنك الاتصال بها على الرقم 790 597 0401 أو عبر البريد الإلكتروني على [email protected]. نطلب من الجميع اتباع هذه التعليمات لضمان تنسيق جميع أنشطة جمع التبرعات بسلاسة. ✨ ٣.مزاد لجمع التبرعات للرحلة التبشيرية لطلبة الصف الثاني عشر ✨ يستعد طلبة الصف الثاني عشر بكنيستنا لرحلتهم التبشيرية القادمة، ونسعد بدعوتكم للمشاركة في مزاد خاص جدا لجمع التبرعات. سنقوم بالمزاد العلني ببنود فريدة وذات مغزى تم مباركتها شخصيا أو تقديمها من قبل آباء كنيستنا المحبوبين، بما في ذلك:
