A Prayer to St Mary:
O Blessed Saint Mary, holy Theotokos, Queen of Heaven, and our heavenly Mother, we thank our Lord Jesus Christ who, in His love upon the cross, gave you to us as His final gift when He said, “Behold your mother.” You are the chosen vessel who carried the Word made flesh, honoured above all women and filled with grace by the Holy Spirit.
As you cared for our Lord with tenderness and faithfulness, care also for us, your children. We desire to carry the Lord within our hearts as you carried Him in your womb and bore Him into the world. Comfort us in sorrow, guide us in weakness, protect us in temptation, and inspire us, as you did so beautifully, to live with humility, purity, obedience, and love for God.
The thought of you warms our hearts, for we know you are close to us in prayer before your Son. We trust that you are caring for us with a mother’s love, gentle and constant, guiding us toward Christ in all things.
O compassionate Mother, we have confidence in your intercessions before the throne of your Son. Pray for us, that our hearts may be strengthened in faith and drawn ever closer to Christ. Teach us to trust in God’s will as you did, and remember us also at the time of our death, that we may depart this life in repentance, peace, and hope.
Through your holy intercessions, may we receive mercy, peace, and salvation from your beloved Son, our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ, to whom belongs all glory, honour, and worship, with His Good Father and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Amen.

Come and share in this blessed evening as we celebrate the feast of Saint Mary and all the Saints of the Month of August together in joy, light, and fellowship.
A blessing of a Red Rose 🌹 can be offered to St Mary on the evening with your prayers.

7. Mathematics Revival
The Lord gave us great resources to help our students achieve high results in mathematics. These resources include very clever tutors ready to help as a free service to God’s children.
Under the supervision of Mr Talat Gerges and Fr David Shehata, we will start intensive tutoring sessions for students from Year 6 to Year 12.
If you are interested to help as a tutor, please contact Fr Yacoub. Soon we will announce the time-table of math lessons, to be conducted at St Mark’s church.

يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس ابونا مارك
صلاة إلى السيدة العذراء
يا قديسة مريم ، يا والدة الإله، يا ملكة السماء وأمنا السماوية، نشكر ربنا يسوع المسيح الذي، بمحبته على الصليب، أعطاكِ لنا عطيةً أخيرة حين قال: «هوذا أمكِ». أنتِ الإناء المختار الذي حمل الكلمة المتجسد، والمكرَّمة فوق جميع النساء، والممتلئة نعمةً من الروح القدس.
وكما اعتنيتِ بربنا بحنان وأمانة، اعتني بنا نحن أيضًا، أبناءكِ. نرغب أن نحمل الرب في قلوبنا كما حملتِه في أحشائكِ وولدتهِ للعالم. عزّينا في حزننا، واهدينا في ضعفنا، واحمينا في التجارب، وألهمينا، كما بروعة فعلتِ ، أن نعيش بتواضع وطهارة وطاعة ومحبة لله.
إن التفكير فيكِ يدفئ قلوبنا، لأننا نعلم أنكِ قريبة منا في صلاتكِ أمام ابنكِ. ونحن نثق بأنكِ ترعيننا بمحبة الأم، بحنان وثبات، وتقوديننا نحو السيد المسيح في كل شيء.
أيتها الأم الحنونة، إننا نضع ثقتنا في شفاعاتكِ أمام عرش ابنكِ. صلّي من أجلنا، لكي تتقوّى قلوبنا في الإيمان وتقترب أكثر فأكثر من المسيح. علّمينا أن نثق بمشيئة الله كما فعلتِ، واذكرينا أيضًا في ساعة انتقالنا، لكي نغادر هذه الحياة بتوبة وسلام ورجاء.
بشفاعاتكِ المقدسة، نسأل أن ننال الرحمة والسلام والخلاص من ابنكِ الحبيب، ربنا وإلهنا ومخلّصنا يسوع المسيح، الذي له كل المجد والكرامة والسجود، مع أبيه الصالح والروح القدس، الآن وكل أوان وإلى الأبد.

٧. نهضة مكثفة بمادة الرياضيات
لقد أعطانا الرب موارد رائعة تساعد طلابنا على تحقيق نتائج متميزة في مادة الرياضيات. وتشمل هذه الموارد معلمين أكفاء جدًا مستعدين لتقديم المساعدة مجانًا لأبناء الله.
تحت إشراف الأستاذ طلعت جرجس وأبونا ديفيد شحاتة، سنبدأ جلسات دروس مكثفة للطلاب من الصف السادس إلى الصف الثاني عشر.
