Contemplation (verse 34): “Prepare the way for the Lord, for He who is eternal comes in humility. Through the Virgin Mary, the Word of God entered the world, bringing comfort to the weary and hope to the oppressed.” (St John Chrysostom)

Personal Reflection: Isaiah calls us to prepare for the coming of the Lord. How can I prepare my heart today to welcome Jesus, and how does St Mary’s faith inspire me to say ‘yes’ to God in my life?

Prayer: Lord God, You sent Your Son into the world through the Virgin Mary to bring comfort, hope, and salvation. Help us to prepare our hearts to welcome Him each day, and to live in faith and obedience as she did. Through the prayers of St Mary, O Lord, grant us peace and salvation. Amen.
