1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Yacoub:
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials” James 1:2
Trials are types of tribulations, pressures, and losses; it might seem a bit strange that we count it ALL joy when we have trials. How can we count it all joy? Possibly, we should understand that our life on earth is a training period that qualifies us for heaven; so it’s necessary. Matthew 10:22 says “but he who endures to the end will be saved”, so again, it’s necessary, it’s an indispensable part of our training to prepare ourselves for eternity.
Also, we should understand that various types of tribulations are temporary; one will end and another will come. So, it’s a type of training to deal with many tribulations. It’s important to note that it’s a source of purification, as gold is purified by fire, so the impurities will be evaporated / burnt out when the gold is exposed to high temperatures. So, it melts but the impurities will be burnt out. Purification makes us ready for heaven, it really changes our character, God is concerned more about our character than our comfort. So, it is preparation for us for an important reward, both in earth and in heaven.
It’s very true that we should count it all joy when we fall into various tribulations because it is something necessary for our salvation. Also, if you want to make a tribulation pass smoothly and with no damage, then offer help for those people that suffer tribulation, because there is a promise from the Lord that whatever we do to His children, we will receive back. If we give to the needy people, we receive financial blessing; if we share the burden of people, then the Lord will make our burden lighter. May the Lord open our eyes to understand that the Lord is doing things for our salvation.

2. Church Cleaning Day – this Saturday 29 October, 12 – 5pm
Join us for a blessed and enjoyable day as we clean our church together.
3. Holyween – this Sunday 30 October, 4 – 6pm
Activities include: Talk, skit, photos, food stations, fairy floss and more!
4. St Mark Church Library
📚Start building your children’s knowledge of the saints and the Bible and nurture their love for reading as they are rewarded for what they learn. Visit the K-12 library open Saturday & Sunday in the yellow house.
💫Story time 11-11:30am, Sundays for pre kindy.
💫Prizes for bookworms returning 3 books AND able to tell the servants something they remember about the story!
💫Heaps of books for mature readers too, including authors Max Lucado, Fr Anthony Messih, Apologetics for Teens and many more!

5. Feast of St Mark
Join us on Tuesday 8 November at 7pm. With HG Bishop Daniel in attendance, there will be vesper, choir, procession, a talk and aghapi, as we celebrate our beloved patron saint.
6. Feast of St Wanas
We plan to publish a new book for St Wanas with Miracles and acts of love soon.

Join us for the St Wanas Feast Celebration on Saturday 19 November at 6:30pm in the St Wanas Church.

8. St Mark’s Education Centre – Updated subjects and start date
The church is excited to announce the relaunch of St Marks Education Centre.
The centre is a tutoring service for Year 11 and 12 Students in a number of subjects and offered by qualified servants in the church.
There will be no tuition fees, but we ask that students, instead, consider donating a small amount to the St Wanas Foundation each class.
Lessons will be held in the Habib Girguis Building and updated classes are as follows:
Lessons for Combinatorics, Probability and Binomial, Biology and Maths will now start on 31 October.
Lessons for Chemistry will begin on the week of 7 November 2022.
For the weeks beginning 28 November 2022 and 5 December 2022, Chemistry will be held on Thursdays those weeks.
At this stage the classes will run during school term, but individual tutors may decide to continue classes during the school holidays, subject to their availability. We will advise students of any future holiday classes that may arise.

يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا يعقوب
"احسبوه كل فرح يا اخوتي حينما تقعون في تجارب متنوعة" يعقوب ١:٢
التجارب هي أنواع من الضيقات والضغوط والخسائر. قد يبدو الأمر غريباً بعض الشيء أن نحسبه كل فرح عندما نمر بتجارب. كيف نحسبها فرح؟ ربما، يجب أن نفهم أن حياتنا على الأرض هي فترة تدريب تؤهلنا للسماء؛ لذلك هي ضرورية. يقول القديس متى ١٠:٢٢ "من يصبر إلى المنتهى فهذا يخلص"، لذلك، هي ضرورية، بل هي جزء لا غنى عنه من تدريبنا لإعداد أنفسنا للأبدية.
وأيضًا، يجب أن نفهم أن الأنواع المختلفة من الضيقات هي مؤقتة؛ واحدة ستنتهي وأخرى ستأتي. لذا، فهي نوع من التدريب للتعامل مع العديد من المحن. من المهم أن نلاحظ أنها مصدر للتنقية، كما يتم تنقية الذهب بالنار فتتبخر الشوائب / تحترق عندما يتعرض الذهب لدرجات حرارة عالية. لذلك يذوب لكن الشوائب تحترق. التنقية تعدنا للسماء، إنه حقاً يغير شخصيتنا، فالله يهتم بشخصيتنا أكثر من اهتمامنا براحتنا. لذلك، فهو إعداد لنا لننال مكافأة مهمة، سواء في الأرض أو في السماء.
حقاً يجب أن نحسبه كل فرح عندما نقع في ضيقات مختلفة لأنها شيء ضروري لخلاصنا. وأيضًا، إذا كنت تريد أن تمرر الضيقة بسلاسة وبدون ضرر، فقدم المساعدة لأولئك الذين يعانون من ضيقة ما، لأن هناك وعدًا من الرب بأن كل ما نفعله لأبنائه، سوف نسترده. إذا أعطينا المحتاجين ننال البركة المالية؛ إذا تقاسمنا العبء مع الناس، فسيخفف الرب من عبئنا. ليفتح الرب أعيننا لنفهم أن الرب يعمل الأشياء لخلاصنا.

٨.مركز سانت مارك التعليمي – تحديث عن المواد وتاريخ البدء
تُسر الكنيسة بالإعلان عن افتتاح مركز سانت مارك التعليمي.
يقدم المركز خدمة التدريس لطلبة الصف الحادي عشر والصف الثاني عشر في العديد من المواد ويقدمها مجموعة من خدام الكنيسة المؤهلين.
لا يوجد رسوم للدروس، ولكن نطلب من الطلبة بدلاً من دفع الرسوم، التبرع بمبلغ صغير إلى مؤسسة أنبا ونس الخيرية.
ستقام الدروس في مبنى حبيب جرجس والفصول القادمة هي كما يلي:
تبدأ الدروس في المواد التالية Combinatorics, Probability، Binomial, Biology، Maths
يوم ٣١ أكتوبر ٢٠٢٢.
تبدأ الدروس في الكيمياء يوم ٧ نوفمبر.
ستُعقد دروس الكيمياء كل يوم خميس في الأسابيع بين ٢٨ نوفمبر و٥ ديسمبر.
في هذه المرحلة، ستدار الدروس خلال الفصل الدراسي، ولكن قد يختار بعض المدرسين ان يديروا الدروس خلال العطلة الدراسية حسب تواجدهم. سنخبر الطلبة بأي دروس مستقبلية قد تتوافر خلال العطلات.
