1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Yacoub:
The church doors at St Mark’s Church can be opened by entering a code on the keypad lock. We invite you to have the blessed experience of going there alone, maybe after sunset, and pouring yourself before God in His sanctuary. You will feel His presence and you’ll realise that you really visited God in His dwelling. You’ll have a deep feeling that I was with God.
The polite way of approaching God in this experience may be to follow the same steps of the Agpeya. When we start praying with the Agpeya, we start by giving glory to the Holy Trinity; then we say the Lord prayer “Our Father who art in heaven”; then we give thanks to the Lord for the many things that He has done for us , we remember this! Then we approach God in a feeling of repentance; we say “do I deserve to be here?”, “Can You, Lord, overlook my weakness and mistakes and accept me back to You as your son/daughter?” Then after that we praise God, we may even use psalms. Then the last segment will be for personal petitions ie my family, my hopes in Him. Then I worship, do a metania, kiss the floor of the sanctuary, and sit quietly in the presence of God in the dim light of the church – meditating on His love.

3. English Literacy Skills
Literacy is the ability to read, write, speak and listen in a way that helps us communicate effectively and make sense of the world around us.
Our new program will focus on ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) which is run in most schools by the University of NSW, NAPLAN in Term4.
We will be going through practice tests with each year class, focusing on comprehension, analysing texts, writing and much more.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية:
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا يعقوب
يمكن فتح أبواب الكنيسة في كنيسة القديس مار مرقس بإدخال رمز محدد على قفل لوحة المفاتيح. ندعوك للحصول على التجربة المباركة بالذهاب إلى هناك بمفردك، ربما بعد غروب الشمس، وتسكب نفسك أمام الله في الهيكل. ستشعر بحضوره وستدرك أنك حقًا قمت بزيارة الله في بيته. ستشعر شعور عميق بأنك كنت مع الله.
هذه الطريقة المهذبة في الاقتراب من الله قد تكون هي نفس الخطوات التي نتبعها في صلوات الأجبية. عندما نبدأ الصلاة في الأجبية، نبدأ بإعطاء المجد للثالوث الأقدس. ثم نقول "أبانا الذي في السماوات"؛ ثم نشكر الرب على الأشياء العديدة التي فعلها من أجلنا، ونتذكر هذا! ثم نقترب من الله في حالة توبة. نسأل "هل أستحق أن أكون هنا؟"، "هل يمكنك، يا رب، أن تتغاضى عن ضعفي وأخطائي وتقبلني إليك كأبنك / أبنتك؟" ثم بعد ذلك نحمد الله، وقد نستخدم المزامير. ثم المقطع الأخير سيكون للطلبات الشخصية أي عائلتي، رجائي فيه. ثم أعمل ميطانيا، وأقبل أرضية الهيكل، وأجلس بهدوء أمام الله في ضوء الكنيسة الخافت – أتأمل في محبته.
٢.معسكر عائلات كنيسة سانت مارك
بكل الفرح ندعو عائلات سانت مارك إلى معسكر العائلات الذي طال انتظاره.
انضم إلى آباء الكنيسة لقضاء عطلة نهاية أسبوع مليئة بالروحانية والمرح، وشيء يناسب جميع الأطفال الصغار والكبار.
الموضوع: من الداخل إلى الخارج – تعرف على عائلتك من الداخل إلى الخارج.

معرفة القراءة والكتابة هي القدرة على القراءة والكتابة والتحدث والاستماع بطريقة تساعدنا على التواصل بشكل فعال وفهم العالم من حولنا.
سيركز برنامجنا الجديد على (- ICAS- المسابقات والتقييمات الدولية للمدارس) التي تُدار في معظم المدارس من قبل جامعة نيو ساوث ويلز و NAPLAN في الفصل الدراسي (التيرم) الرابع.
سنقوم بعمل اختبارات تدريبية مع كل فصل دراسي، مع التركيز على فهم النص وتحليله وعلى الكتابة والكثير غير ذلك
