1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Michael:
Being Christians, we become servants of God, sent on a mission by God. Jonah received a difficult mission from God. " Go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it."
The command, is to go east by land, Jonah goes west by sea, to the end of the world (Spain). Like all of us, we know what God wants, and we move in the opposite direction.
God constrained Jonah in the fish for 3 days, to discover there is no running away from Him. As the Psalmist said "If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there." Psalm 139.
Jonah was constrained, and held tight by Gods will, so as to go through a kind of ascetic formation.
Jonah cried " From the depths I cry to you, O Lord". This should be our prayer when we are constrained, and have no solution to our problems. God immediately answers Jonah; "Then the Lord spoke to the fish, and it spewed Jonah out upon the dry land."
Likewise, God will answer our prayers, if we humble ourselves. God will fulfill His Own Glory, that is our glory.

2. Weekend Liturgies timetable
Please note the following important guidelines:
1. We encourage you to attend weekday masses when possible and leave Sunday free for others who don’t have any other choice. This will help keep attendance numbers under control and protect the church from any trouble. Your assistance is very much appreciated.
2. Although some rules have been relaxed it is important to remain diligent and avoid crowding. Please pre-order your food and avoid gathering in front of the food booths.

3. Closing Church Doors Request
Dear All, A number of times the Arabic Church main doors (Wollongong Rd entrance) we’re left open overnight. We ask you to please be careful and close the church main doors as you leave when passing through the Arabic Church.
4.Creche and pre Creche Classes – Saturday 27 February
For any parents with children aged between 2-3 years old, Saturday School has commenced in the Angel’s House next to the Orban room.
Classes start 10:30-11:30am on Saturdays.

5. Shuttle Bus Service to resume – Sunday 28 February
From Sunday 28 February, the shuttle bus will begin service again. Please be encouraged to drop off your family at church and park at the Arncliffe car park. The shuttle bus service will be operating during the day to pick-up and drop-off drivers during the morning to prevent you from walking a long distance to church.
6. Church Welcoming Service – From Sunday 28 February
We get many newcomers at St Mark’s and we want to make sure every person feels welcomed and supported.
From Sunday an information stand will be set up at the English car-park during mass and then near the bookshop after mass.
Each week, two servants from the welcoming group service will be at the stand but also walking around. They will be able to support with:
+ Providing information about the church and its services
+ Connecting with people or support services for any needs
Please come and visit or If you know someone who could benefit from this service please bring them to the information desk.
7. Lighthouse Episode 5 – Friday 26 February
Tune in this week for Lighthouse episode 5 with Mimi Azer. Lent is around the corner – join Mimi as she discusses the what and why of fasting.

8. Church Cleaning Service
Would you like to serve in cleaning the church? Come forward and join the church cleaning team for only 2-3 hours a month.

شعب الكنيسة المبارك،

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع ابونا مايكل
كوننا مسيحيون يحتم علينا أن نكون خدام الله، مرسلون في مهمة من الله. تلقى يونان مهمة صعبة من الله وهي "قم اذهب إلى نينوى المدينة العظيمة وناد عليها".
الأمر كان أن يذهب إلى الشرق عن طريق البر، ولكن يونان ذهب غرباً عن طريق البحر، إلى أبعد مكان في العالم ( اسبانيا). مثلنا جميعاً، نحن نعلم ما يريده الله، ولكننا نسلك في الاتجاه المضاد.
حبس الله يونان في بطن الحوت ٣ أيام، ليكتشف أنه لا هروب منه. كما قال المرتل في المزمور ١٣٩ "إن صعدت إلى السماوات فأنت هناك، وإن فرشت في الهاوية فها أنت".
كان يونان مقيداً بإحكام بإرادة الله، حتى يمر بنوع من التشكيل النسكي.
صرخ يونان قائلاً " صرخت إليك من عمق الهاوية". وهكذا يجب أن تكون صلواتنا عندما نكون مقيدون وليس هناك حلول لمشاكلنا. فاستجاب الله في الحال ليونان " وأمر الرب الحوت، فقذف يونان إلى البر"
وبالمثل سيستجيب الله لصلواتنا، إذا تواضعنا. سيحقق الله مجده الذي هو مجدنا.
٢.جدول قداسات السبت والأحد
نرجوكم الاطلاع على الإرشادات الهامة التالية:
· نحثكم على حضور قداسات أيام الأسبوع إذا امكن، وترك قداسات يوم والأحد لمن ليس لهم هذا الخيار . سيساعد هذا الأمر في الحفاظ على الالتزام بعدد الحضور المسموح به من المصلين، نقدر كثيراً مساعدتكم في هذا الأمر
· وعلى الرغم من تخفيف بعض القوانين بدءً من اليوم الجمعة ١٢ فبراير، الا أن الحرص وتجنب الازدحام أمور لا تزال مهمة. يُرجى وضع طلب الطعام مسبقاً وتجنب الزحمة أمام منافذ الطعام.

٣.طلب إغلاق أبواب الكنيسة
احباؤنا ..رجاء ملاحظة إغلاق باب الكنيسة الرئيسية عند مغادرتها (المدخل من ولونجونج رود). وجدنا في عدد من المرات الباب مفتوح طول الليل. نرجوكم الحرص وإغلاق باب الكنيسة الرئيسية عند مغادرتها مارين بالكنيسة العربي.
فصل أطفال من ٢ – ٣ سنوات – السبت ٢٧ فبراير. ٤
إلى أولياء الأمور الذين لديهم أطفال تتراوح أعمارهم بين ٢ – ٣ سنوات، لقد بدئت فصول "مدارس الأحد" يوم السبت في بيت الملائكة بالقرب من غرفة عمل القربان
الفصول تبدأ من ١٠:٣٠ صباحاً وحتى ١١:٣٠ صباحاً أيام السبت

٥.عودة خدمة توصيل المصلين بالأتوبيس – الأحد ٢٨ فبراير
اعتباراً من الأحد ٢٤ فبراير، ستبدأ مرة ثانية خدمة توصيل المصلين بالأتوبيس
من فضلك تشجع على إنزال العائلة في الكنيسة وايقاف السيارة في موقف السيارات بأرنكليف. ستعمل خدمة التوصيل خلال اليوم على التقاط وإنزال السائقين خلال الصباح لتجنبك السير مسافة طويلة حتى تصل إلى الكنيسة.
٦.خدمة الترحيب بالقادمين الجدد إلى الكنيسة
نتلقى العديد من القادمين الجدد إلى كنيسة القديس مارمرقس ونريد أن نتأكد من أن يشعر كل فرد بالترحاب والمساندة.
اعتباراً من يوم الاحد القادم سيتم وضع منصة معلومات في موقف السيارات خارج الكنيسة الإنجليزي خلال القداس ثم بجانب المكتبة بعد القداس.
سيكون هناك كل أسبوع خادمان من خدام مجموعة الترحيب عند المنصة بل وسيقومان بالتجوال أيضاً حول الكنيسة. سيستطيعان تقديم المساعدة عن طريق:
+ توفير معلومات عن الكنيسة وخداماتها
+التواصل مع الناس أو خدمات المساندة لأي احتياجات
من فضلك تعال وقم بزيارتنا أو إذا كنت تعرف شخص قد يستفيد من هذه الخدمة من فضلك احضره إلى منضدة المعلومات.
٧.الحلقة ٥ من برنامج لايت هاوس – الجمعة ٢٦ فبراير
