1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Jacob:
Every year on Palm Sunday, the Coptic Church gives us an opportunity to rehearse the of welcoming the Lord Jesus Christ into His heavenly kingdom. Our hearts beat with the joy of seeing our Lord in His glory.
The church sings a special song in Greek, “Evlogimenos” which means “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” and “Hosanna in the highest”. It truly is a form of rehearsal of the last day when we see our King coming to invite us to His kingdom – it’s the joyful feeling of the arrival of the King of Peace.
We see in Him our eternal future, so it’s really a most joyful cry of salvation. It’s a cry similar to that of the Israelites when they crossed the Red Sea. It’s a great experience of salvation from the land of servitude, under the authority of the devil, to the land of freedom, the kingdom of the Lord.
No moment in our life can be more joyful than the instant we see our Saviour, in His glory, welcoming us into His kingdom! This joy is reflected in all the hymns of Pascha (which means Passover). In fact, the daily tasbeha of the Coptic Church is the joy of the monks and nuns that they have daily, they have this feeling of crossing from servitude to freedom.
Let us have this yearly rehearsal of procession with our beloved Lord Jesus Christ from the land of sorrow to His joyful kingdom.

2. In the Shadow of the Cross – 7:30pm tonight Friday 15 April
Pope Athanasius family group invite you all to this special spiritual evening – tonight Friday 15 April from 7:30pm.
3. Palm branches available
In preparation for Palm Sunday, palm branches will be available at church tonight from 6pm (Friday) and 10am Saturday.
Have a blessed Palm Sunday.
4. Passion Week program
Note: An early service on Holy Thursday 5:30-8am (Upper Room) has been added to the Holy Week Service.
As this Thursday is a working day, the church, in response to the congregation who would like to participate in the service and prayers of this Holy day, arranged for this early service.
The updated program is attached and available on the St Mark’s Church App for easy access.
5. Child Minding during Passion Week
St Marks Church is pleased to advise we will be providing a child-minding service for our families this Passion Week.
Child Minding will be available for children 3yrs and over (no nappies) for the following times:
– 7.00pm – 9.00pm Monday to Thursday
– 10.00am – 5.00pm Good Friday (for 2-hour sessions)
Note: for toddlers under 3 years (including those in nappies), 1-hour sessions can be arranged. Please see the servants.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا يعقوب
في كل عام في أحد الشعانين، تمنحنا الكنيسة القبطية فرصة للتمرن على الترحيب بالرب يسوع المسيح في ملكوته السماوي. تنبض قلوبنا بفرح رؤية ربنا في مجده.
تغني الكنيسة لحن خاص باليونانية "افلوجيمنوس" والتي تعني "مبارك الآتي باسم الرب" و "أوصنا في الأعالي". إنه حقًا شكل من أشكال البروفة لليوم الأخير عندما نرى ملكنا قادمًا لدعوتنا إلى مملكته – إنه الشعور المبهج بوصول ملك السلام.
نرى فيه مستقبلنا الأبدي، لذا فهي حقًا ابهج صرخة خلاص. إنها صرخة تشبه صرخة الإسرائيليين عندما عبروا البحر الأحمر. إنها خبرة خلاص عظيمة من أرض العبودية، تحت سلطان إبليس، إلى أرض الحرية، ملكوت الله.
لا توجد لحظة في حياتنا يمكن أن تكون أكثر بهجة من اللحظة التي نرى فيها مخلصنا، في مجده، يرحب بنا في ملكوته! ينعكس هذا الفرح في جميع ترانيم البصخة (التي تعني العبور). في الواقع، فإن التسبحة اليومية للكنيسة القبطية هي فرحة الرهبان والراهبات التي يتمتعون بها يوميًا، فهم يشعرون بالعبور من العبودية إلى الحرية.
فلنقوم بهذه البروفة السنوية للاشتراك في موكب ربنا الحبيب يسوع المسيح والعبور من أرض الحزن إلى مملكته السعيدة.

٢.في ظل الصليب – ٧:٣٠ مساءً يوم الجمعة ١٥ أبريل
توجه أسرة البابا أثناسيوس الدعوة للجميع لحضور هذه الأمسية الروحية المتميزة يوم الجمعة المقبل الموافق ١٥ أبريل الساعة ٧:٣٠ مساءً
٣ .استعداداً لأحد الشعانين، سيتوفر الزعف في الكنيسة مساء اليوم ( الجمعة) الساعة ٦ مساءً وغدا السبت ١٠ صباحاً كل عام وانتم بخير
٤.برنامج أسبوع الالام
ملاحظة: تم إضافة خدمة مبكرة يوم خميس العهد ٥:٣٠ – ٨ صباحاً (كنيسة العلية) إلى خدمات أسبوع الآلام
حيث أن يوم الخميس سيكون يوم عمل، فقامت الكنيسة استجابةً لشعبها الذي يرغب في المشاركة في الخدمة وصلوات هذا اليوم المقدس، قامت بإعداد تلك الخدمة المبكرة

٥.رعاية الأطفال خلال أسبوع الآلام
يسر كنيسة مارمرقس أن تعلن عن تقديم خدمة رعاية الأطفال لعائلاتنا خلال أسبوع الآلام.
ستتوفر خدمة رعاية الأطفال من سن ٣ سنين وأكثر (لا يستخدمون الحفاضات) في الأوقات التالية:
– ٧:٠٠ – ٩:٠٠ مساءً من الاثنين إلى الخميس
– ١٠:٠٠ صباحاً – ٥:٠٠ عصراً يوم الجمعة العظيمة (لمدة ساعتين)
ملاحظة: بالنسبة إلى الأطفال الذين أقل من ٣ سنوات (بما في ذلك من يستخدم الحفاضات)، يمكن ترتيب جلسة مدتها ساعة واحدة. يُرجى التحدث إلى أحد الخدام
