1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Augustinos:
Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. Psalm 73:25
As a true Christian, I live my life to reach a point in life that “there is nothing upon earth that I desire besides You Lord”. This is the union with God as we were originally created in the Garden of Eden to be in the Union with God with no other desire but only for God.
How can we reach desiring nothing on earth but only for God? Remove all distraction and replace it with deep spiritual practices with a pure heart and living in holiness. It is true when our Lord Jesus said “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”. We have not practiced our Christian faith if we don’t have a longing to be in Union with God. Removing or limiting all distraction requires a great effort and requires time and struggle especially when our lives are so dependent on many attractions that waste time but through the struggle and difficulty, there is purification and the rewards of Grace and blessing from God are endless.
Our fathers the saints reached levels of even removing their own will when praying for anything because their own will is a self-desire for that thing they may pray for but submitted all their requests to the will of God. This way it is comforting and acceptable when the request is not given, I will know that it’s God’s will, and He has a plan that I cannot see but will be revealed in due time. Many people get upset with God because he hasn’t heard their requests and question God’s wisdom and may feel upset because we are forcing our own will on God. It is important to submit to God’s will with thanksgiving and joy and for sure God will show you His wisdom not now, but in the years to come, and you will understand how things have turned out better than expected if we had received our own will.
Our Churches need to return to the deep Apostolic Christianity of living for Christ renouncing all that distracts us from being in the Union with God and knowing that our churches and Liturgies present to us the Heavenly glory and the true presence of Holiness of God. A church cannot be called a Holy Church unless God has made it Holy by His Presence. Let us remind ourselves that when we enter the doors of the Church we are entering the doors of Heaven, and we will feel “There is none upon earth that I desire besides You”.

Scouts is back on this Friday the 5th of Feb from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Quarterly fees is $60 to Scouts Australia, for membership and insurance.

4. Sunday School Lions Cup – this Sunday February 7
This Sunday 7 February from 1pm-8pm we will hold the Lions cup soccer competition for K-Year 10 at Seymour Shaw Stadium in Miranda.

5. Kids Karate Classes – Starting Wednesday 10 February
Weekly Kids Karate classes commence this Wednesday 10 February.

Year 4 – Year 6: 7:30 – 8:30pm

7. Reading Groups – Starts Friday 12 February
Do you want to strengthen your childs’ literacy skills? Come and join the reading groups on Fridays at 6:30 – 7:30pm. Servants cover reading, comprehension & spelling through reading much loved books including the Bible.

10. English Families Service Survey

11. Tasbeha
Tasbeha will be held every Saturday morning in Coptic/Arabic and English from 4am to 6am followed by Mass from 6am to 8am.
12. Feast of the Lord’s Entrance to the Altar and Feast of the 21 Martrys of Libya – Sunday 14th Feb
Vesper will be at 7pm on Sunday 14 February.
13. Valentine’s Day – Sunday 14 February
Dear Mum and Dad,
Want to spend some quality time as a couple on Valentine’s Day? The Church is offering a kids club activity from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Valentine’s Day Sunday 14/2/2021.
Kids from Pre-K to year 6 are welcome. The program includes:
Indoor games
Jumping castle
BBQ
For Pre-K to year 1 parents: 5 & 2 café is offering 3 Course dinner for $30/person. Parents of this age group are required to be at church during the activities. Pre-booking is required for this event as numbers are limited. Please use the booking links provided below.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية:
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع ابونا أوغسطينوس:
مَنْ لِي فِي السَّمَاءِ؟
وَمَعَكَ لاَ أُرِيدُ شَيْئًا فِي الأَرْضِ." (مز 73: 25)
كمسيحي حقيقي، أعيش حياتي لأصل إلى نقطة في الحياة وهي "أن لا أرغب في شيء على وجه الأرض غير أن أكون بجانبك يا ربي". هذا هو الاتحاد بالله كما خُلقنا في الأصل في جنة عدن لنتحد بالله بلا أي رغبة أخرى سوى الله وحده.
كيف نصل إلى عدم الرغبة في أي شيء على الأرض سوى الله وحده؟ ازل كل ما يلهيك و واستبدله بممارسات روحية عميقة بقلب طاهر وعش في قداسة. حقيقةً قال السيد المسيح " طوبى لأنقياء القلب لأنهم يعاينون الله". فنحن لا نمارس ايماننا المسيحي إذا كنا لا نشتاق إلى الاتحاد بالله. أن إزالة كل ما يلهينا أو الحد منه يتطلب مجهود كبير ويتطلب وقت وجهاد وخصوصاً عندما تكون حياتنا معتمدة على العديد من عوامل الجذب التي تضيع الوقت ولكن من خلال الجهاد والتحديات، تأتي النقاوة ومكافئات النعمة والبركات اللانهائية من الله
ابائنا القديسين وصلوا إلى مستويات تصل حتى إلى إزالة الإرادة عند الصلاة من أجل أي شيء لأن إرادتهم الخاصة هي رغبة ذاتية للشيء الذي يصلون من اجله ولكن سلموا طلباتهم لإرادة الله. بهذه الطريقة يتحقق الاطمئنان والقبول عندما لا يُستجاب لطلب ما، سأعلم انها إرادة الله وله خطة لا استطيع رؤيتها ولكن سأكتشفها في الوقت المناسب.
كثيراً ما يتضايق الناس من الله لأنه لم يستجب لطلبتهم ويشُكون في حكمة الله ويشعرون بالضيق وذلك لأننا نفرض رغبتنا الشخصية على الله. من المهم أن نسلم لله بالشكر والفرح وبالتأكيد سيُظهر الله حكمته ولكن ليس الآن، ربما في الأعوام القادمة، وستفهم كيف أنه نتج عن الأمور أشياء أفضل مما كنت تتوقع أفضل عن ما إذا كان الله استجاب لرغبتنا .
تحتاج كنيستنا إلى الرجوع إلى المسيحية الرسولية التي نعيش فيها للسيد المسيح ونجحد كل ما يلهينا عن الاتحاد بالله وندرك أن كنيتنا وقداساتنا تقدم لنا المجد السماوي والوجود الحقيقي لقداسة الله. يمكن فقط أن يُطلق على الكنيسة انها كنيسة مقدسة إذا جعلها الله مقدسة بوجوده. فلنُذكر انفسنا عند الدخول من أبواب الكنيسة أننا ندخل أبواب السماء وحينئذ سنشعر "بأننا لا نرغب في شيء على وجه الأرض غيرك انت يا لله"

٨.تنظيف الكنيسة – السبت ١٣ فبراير
شاركنا في تنظيف الكنيسة من ١٠ صباحاً إلى ٤ عصراً، يوم السبت الموافق ١٣ ففبراير لنقوم بتنظيف كنيستنا الغالية علينا جداً. تعال واقض معنا الوقت الذي تريده وادعو العائلة والأصدقاء.

هل ترغبون في قضاء وقت ممتع كزوجين في عيد الحب؟ توفر الكنيسة نادي الأطفال الذي يقدم أنشطة من٣:٠٠ ظهراً إلى ٧:٠٠ مساءً في عيد الحب الموافق يوم الأحد ١٤ فبراير ٢٠٢١. نرحب بالأطفال من سن ما قبل حضانة وحتى الصف السادس. يتضمن البرنامج ما يلي:
