1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Mark:
Here we are again dealing with the Delta variant of COVID-19. The problem with the Delta variant is that it is highly more contagious. In fact, researchers have said that the Delta variant is about 50% more contagious. If one person contracts the Delta variant, it is highly likely that the whole family will also catch it.
In my opinion there is only one other thing that is more contagious than the Delta variant, it is spirituality. What we can call the Alpha-Omega variant.
True spirituality is highly contagious. If you catch it, everyone around you will catch it too. When St Athanasius wrote the life story of St Anthony he commented that "in the few short days that Anthony was among us in Alexandria, more people became Christian than would normally do so in an entire year." It was highly contagious!
Whilst we are busy trying not to catch the Delta variant, try to catch the Alpha-Omega variant and spread it to your family and friends because…
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Revelation 22:13
2. Continued restrictions at Church
Beloved congregation, we are continuing to ask all people, servants and deacons to adhere to the following during this extended lockdown:
1) Do not come to church unless you receive an invitation from a priest.
2) Arrange confessions to be via phone only.
3) Continue to pour out our hearts in prayer to receive God’s mercy.
We will update you once restrictions ease.
3. Timetable for Streamed Liturgies
Sunday:
Early Mass: 6 – 8am
English Mass: 8:30 – 10am
Arabic Mass: 8:30 – 10am
Daily including Saturday: 8:30 – 10am
4. Church Development Update
We are delighted to share with you some exciting changes that have begun at St Mark’s Church:
+ Extension and renovation of 5&2 Café. This includes the renovation and extension of the 5&2 kitchen as well.
+ Extension and renovation of the Hot Food service area.
+ The Juice shop has moved to the area behind the Arabic church.
+ A new take away coffee area has been built in a new location.
With No. 76 Wollongong Road purchased some months ago, this has made room for an extra seating area to be created next to the hall, and a new ladies kitchen will be located here as well.
No. 80 Wollongong Road is also being prepared for Sunday School and extra seating as well.
We ask for your prayers and support while these changes are being made. We also look forward to future hall and English church renovations.

٢.استمرار القيود المتعلقة بالكنيسة
أخوتنا الأحباء، نتيجة الظروف الحالية نرجوكم قبول الآتي:
۱ (عدم الحضور للكنيسة دون دعوة واضحة من الكهنة .يطبق هذا على الشعب والخدام والشمامسة.
۲ (الاعترافات عن طريق التليفون فقط
۳ ( مداومة الصلاة لعل الرب يرسل مراحمه سريعاً

٣.مواعيد البث المباشر للقداسات:
الأحد:
القداس المبكر: ٦-٨ صباحاً
القداس الإنجليزي: ٨:٣٠-١٠ صباحاً
القداس العربي: ٨:٣٠-١٠ صباحاً
يومياً بما في ذلك يوم السبت: ٨:٣٠ – ١٠ صباحاً
٤.تحديث عن تطورات البناء في الكنيسة
يسعدنا أن تشاركونا بعض التطورات التي بدأت في كنيسة القديس مارمرقس:
+توسيع وتجديد مقهى 5&2. ويشمل ذلك تجديد وتوسيع مطبخ المقهى أيضاً
+توسيع وتجديد منطقة تقديم الأطعمة الساخنة
+نقل محل العصائر إلى خلف الكنيسة العربي
+تشييد منطقة جديدة لشراء القهوة في الموقع الجديد.
إن شراء العقار رقم "٧٦ وولونجونج رود" في الشهور الماضية، أتاح إقامة منطقة جلوس إضافية بجانب القاعة، وسيتم أيضاً إقامة مطبخ جديد للسيدات هناك
وتم أيضاً إعداد العقار رقم "٨٠ وولونجونج رود" لخدمة مدارس الأحد ومنطقة جلوس إضافية.
نطلب صلاتكم وتعضيدكم بينما يتم إجراء تلك التعديلات. ونتطلع لتجديد القاعة والكنيسة الإنجليزي في المستقبل.
