1.Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Elijah:
When we go through difficult times, sometimes we wonder why God allowed this to happen or even start to doubt His care or very existence.
Psalm 46 gives us some guidance on navigating difficult times. The psalm is divided into three sections by the word “Selah”. This is most likely a musical notation indicating a pause since the psalms were originally sung (eg with King David playing the harp). When we see it nowadays it is useful to pause, contemplate and lift our hearts to God.
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah” psalm 46:1-3
Lord, you are my protection and my power. You are close to me. No amount of trouble in the world moves me because my stability is in You.
“There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah”

When I am in trouble where else can I go but to the holy place that is Your church?
“Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Help me Lord in the midst of my trouble to be still and know that You are God. You are my refuge.
2. Weekend Liturgies – please note the change in mass times
No bookings are required for all liturgies. Please remember to register your attendance using the QR codes at the entrance of each church.

3. Sunday School Lions Cup – Sunday February 7
On Sunday 7 February from 1pm-8pm we will hold the Lions cup soccer competition for K-Year 10 at Seymour Shaw Stadium in Miranda.
More details to be announced shortly.

6. St Mark’s Soccer Teams Registration 2021 is still open
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4
With God’s Grace St Mark’s players had a huge impact on the success of the local Soccer competition over the past two seasons. In 2019 our team won the U14 Grand Final and in 2020 our U13 and U15 won the Grand Final. This was all done in love and communion with one another.
Now as we embark on the third season we wish to invite all players to join us if they wish to play with their friends and to represent their Church. The season will start in April and end in August. We are also inviting Coaches and Managers to assist.
Girls are able to Join in mixed teams (Boys & Girls) from 5 to 11 years. We hope to have teams in the below age groups for 2021 season.
1. 5 to 11 years Mixed teams
2. 12 to 17 years boys only.
3. all ages (18 to 35) boys only
4. Over 35 year old Men.
5. Over 45 year old Men.
Training – most teams train once per week. Dates will be set once teams are organised. The day will depend on what suits the coach and what suits parents (training is at Rockdale).
All matches are played on Sat – usually in the mornings. Games are played within St George area – from Arncliffe to Lugarno.

يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع ابوناإيلايجا:
عندما نمر بأوقات عصيبة نتساءل احياناً لماذا سمح الله بحدوث ذلك أو أحياناً نبدأ نشك حتى في رعايته ووجوده.
المزمور ٤٦ يعطينا بعض الإرشادات عن تجاوز الأوقات الصعبة. ينقسم المزمور إلى ٣ قطع وتفصلهم كلمة "سلاه". وهي من المحتمل صوت موسيقي يشير إلى وقفة حيث كانت المزامير تُنشد في الأصل ( مثال: الملك داود يعزف على القيثارة). عندما نرى هذه الكلمة في الوقت الحاضر، من المفيد أن نتوقف، ونتأمل ونرفع قلوبنا إلى الله.
"للهُ لَنَا مَلْجَأٌ وَقُوَّةٌ. عَوْنًا فِي الضِّيْقَاتِ وُجِدَ شَدِيدًا. لِذلِكَ لاَ نَخْشَى وَلَوْ تَزَحْزَحَتِ الأَرْضُ، وَلَوِ انْقَلَبَتِ الْجِبَالُ إِلَى قَلْبِ الْبِحَار تَعِجُّ وَتَجِيشُ مِيَاهُهَا. تَتَزَعْزَعُ الْجِبَالُ بِطُمُوِّهَا. سلاه" مزمور ٤٦: ١-٣
يا رب، أنت حمايتي وقوتي. أنت قريب مني. لن تقدر أي مشكلة في العالم تزحزحني لأن ثباتي فيك أنت.

عندما اعاني من مشكلة إلى أين اذهب إلا إلى المكان المقدس الذي هو كنيستك؟

ساعدني يا رب في وسط المشاكل أن أكون ثابتاً وأعلم أنك أنت الله. أنت ملجأي.

٦.لا يزال التسجيل بفرق سانت مارك لكرة القدم لعام ٢٠٢١ متاحاً
لاَ شَيْئًا بِتَحَزُّبٍ أَوْ بِعُجْبٍ، بَلْ بِتَوَاضُعٍ، حَاسِبِينَ بَعْضُكُمُ الْبَعْضَ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ. لاَ تَنْظُرُوا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ إِلَى مَا هُوَ لِنَفْسِهِ، بَلْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ إِلَى مَا هُوَ لآخَرِينَ أَيْضًا. فيلبي٢: ٣ – ٤
بنعمة ربنا كان للاعبي سانت مارك أثر ضخم على نجاح مسابقة كرة القدم المحلية خلال الموسمين السابقين. ففي عام ٢٠١٩ فاز فريقنا تحت ١٤ عام بالدور النهائي وفي عام ٢٠٢٠ فاز فرق كل من تحت ١٣ عام وتحت ١٥ عام بالدور النهائي.
وتم هذا كله من خلال المحبة والشركة بعضنا مع بعض.
والآن، ونحن على أبواب الموسم الثالث نود أن ندعو كل اللاعبين لمشاركتنا إذا رغبوا في اللعب مع اصدقائهم وتمثيل الكنيسة. سيبدأ الموسم في ابريل وينتهي في أغسطس. وندعو أيضاً المدربين والمديرين للمساعدة.
يمكن للبنات الاشتراك في فرّق مختلطة ( بنات وأولاد) من ٥ – ١١ عام. نرجو ان نكوّن فرق لموسم ٢٠٢١ في الفئات العمرية التالية
１. ٥ – ١١ عام فرق مختلطة
２. ١٢ -١٧ عام أولاد فقط
３. كل الأعوام (١٨ – ٣٥) رجال فقط
４. أكبر من ٣٥ عام رجال
５. اكبر من ٤٥ عام رجال فقط
التدريب – سيتم تدريب معظم الفرّق مرة واحدة في الأسبوع. سيتم تحديد التواريخ بمجرد الانتهاء من تشكيل الفرّق. وسيعتمد اليوم على ما يناسب المدرب وما يناسب أولياء الأمور.

تُقام كل المباريات يوم السبت – عادةً في الصباح. توُقام المباريات في نطاق منطقة سانت جورج – من أرنكليف إلى لوجارنو.
