1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Elijah:
This Sunday we will celebrate the feast of Pentecost. After the liturgy, we will remain in the church to pray the prostration prayers. These prayers are amongst the most ancient in the church. In fact, in every Orthodox Church all over the world, they are almost identical, which tells us they must have been there as early as the third century.
As a church we are all on our knees praying together which is so powerful. If your health allows, please be on your knees and enjoy these rich, ancient prayers. A beautiful section of the second prostration prayer is:
Happy Feast of Pentecost.
2. Pentecostal feast this Sunday followed by the Apostles fast this Monday
Following the holy mass this Sunday 20th June, the church will celebrate the feast of the Pentecost by praying the ‘Prostration’ prayers, which is a very deep prayer offered to the Lord to grant us the renewal of the Holy Spirit.
The Apostles Fast will start this Monday 21st June and conclude on the Feast of the martyrdom of St Peter and St Paul on the 12th July.
Let us take this opportunity and offer to the Lord our fasting and prayers, asking Him for peace, protection and forgiveness of our sins.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع ابونا إيلايجا
هذا الأحد سنحتفل بعيد حلول الروح القدس. سنبقى بعد القداس في الكنيسة لنصلي صلاة السجدة. هذه الصلوات هي من أقدم الصلوات في الكنيسة. في الواقع، في كل كنيسة أرثوذكسية في جميع أنحاء العالم، هذه الصلوات متطابقة تقريبًا، مما يدل على تواجدها منذ أوائل القرن الثالث.
ككنيسة، نحن جميعًا نركع على ركبنا ونصلّي بجدية أكثر وهذا أمر له قوة كبيرة.
إذا كانت صحتك تسمح، برجاء الركوع على ركبتيك والتمتع بهذه الصلوات الغنية والقديمة جداً.
نصلي قسم جميل من صلاة السجدة الثانية ونقول فيه:
كل عيد حلول الروح القدس وأنتم جميعاً بخير
٢.عيد حلول الروح القدس يوم الأحد القادم يليه صوم الرسول يوم الاثنين القادم
بعد قداس الأحد القادم، ستحتفل الكنيسة بعيد حلول الروح القدس وستقوم بصلاة "السجدة"، وهي صلاة عميقة تقدم للرب ليمنحنا تجديد الروح القدس.
سيبدأ صوم الرسل يوم الاثنين 21 يونيو ويختتم بعيد استشهاد كل من القديس بطرس والقديس بولس في 12 يوليو.
فلننتهز هذه الفرصة ونقدم للرب صومنا وصلواتنا طالبين منه السلام والحماية ومغفرة خطايانا
