1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father David:
This week we celebrated the joyful Feast of our Lords Ascension.
Our Lords bodily ascension to Heaven makes us direct our sights to Heaven where He is and where He was before His incarnation.
It directs our mind and our attention to focus more on Him, and less on the world and its problems.
The Lord’s ascension is also a guarantee of our own ascension. By Christ ascending and sitting at the right hand of the Father, He has promoted humanity to a status that can now live in heaven. It gives us hope that one day when we leave this world, we too may ascend with Him and live eternally in the place of peace and joy, where we reunite with all our loved ones and saints who have passed over with our Father in heaven.
Happy and blessed Feast of our Lords Ascension to you all.

3. Feast of Abaskhiron El Kalini – Monday 14 June
Monday 14th June will be the feast of Abaskiron El Kalini.
Vesper will be on Sunday night 13th June from 6:30pm
Please join us. The evening will include the change of relics and procession, and cake and coffee.

احتفلنا هذا الأسبوع بعيد الصعود المجيد لربنا يسوع المسيح
إن صعود ربنا يسوع بالجسد إلى السماء يوجه أنظارنا إلى السماء حيث هو كائن وحيث كان قبل تجسده.
يوجه أذهاننا وانتباهنا للتركيز بصورة أكثر على الرب يسوع، وبصورة أقل على العالم ومشاكله.
إن صعود الرب يسوع هو ضمان لصعودنا نحن أيضاً، فبصعود ربنا يسوع وجلوسه عن يمين الآب، ارتقى بالإنسانية إلى مكانة تمكنها من الحياة في السماء. يعطينا رجاء بأننا يوماً ما سنترك هذا العالم، وسنصعد معه ونحيا إلى الأبد في مكان السلام والفرح حيث نتحد بأحبائنا والقديسين الذين سبقونا مع أبانا الذي في السماوات.
