1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Augustinos:
Remembrance of the presence of God
St Theophan the Recluse on the Spiritual life says, “The remembrance of God is necessary. Indeed, it is to be the labour of our life. If we do not achieve it we will come to nothing. We will have no success in the spiritual life and in fact we will have no spiritual life at all. The remembrance of God is the very essence of the spiritual life. It is vitally important!” The Remembrance of God cannot be treated as an ordinary thought. It is a far glorious wonder, we are called to draw our mind and conscience to every concept of God, every attribute of God, everything that He has revealed of himself to us, all of His merciful and compassionate works is to be remembrance of God every day. It is this that energizes the heart and the spirit. Furthermore, we must bring our minds to remember to thank God and to remember all the good things that God has given us, our family, our friends, our livelihood and desire for God, all of these things we must hold in our mind. Above all we must remember all the secret mercies that God has shown us, all the many ways that he has protected us unseen and hidden ways.
When we practice the remembrance of God the flame of love for God will burn hot and we will not labour to pray or remember God, it will become natural.
How do we bring our minds to the remembrance of God throughout the day? St Theophan advises that we are to reinterpret everyday activities into means of drawing the heart and mind towards God. So by reinterpreting everyday activities into a spiritual interpretation we are moving our thoughts and imagination towards God.
For example when I wake up in the morning to brush my teeth, I remember God and can “say wash them so they are whiter than snow Lord” Ps51:7 (remember God cleansing our hearts).
If you I look out the window and see the trees swaying in the wind, I can remember God and say in Ps19:1 the heavens declare the Glory of God and the firmament show his handiwork... (The trees are praying tasheha).
Or when we are driving I can remember Christ saying in John14:6 “I am the way and the truth and life”. (Lead me to path of heaven my Lord)
Or when we get home and open my door we remember Jesus saying Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter in through the narrow door” (we can only enter the narrow door through Christ)
Or when we are cooking we can say John 6:27 “Do not labour for the food that perishing but for the food that endures to enteral life.” Or how sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey Ps119:103
Or when we add salt to our food we can remember Mark 9:50 Salt is good, but it loses its flavour how will you season it? (Only Jesus can give our life flavour)
Or when I see Fr Yacoub, Fr Jonathan, Fr Mark, Fr Michael, Fr David and Fr Elijah I will say with Hannah in 1Samuel 2:1 “my heart rejoiced in the Lord; My horn (strength) has lifted me high”
When our minds are focused on the presence and remembrance of God throughout the day then it will very difficult for us to sin. By reinterpreting our daily activities to a spiritual attribute we will with time align our minds and conscience with God. This will in turn foster a deep love for God and a life full of Grace as you enter into spiritual world of God’s Glory.
2. Continued COVID Restrictions/additional measures
The congregation is reminded of the following additional measures effective from last week are still in place, and will also be in effect during this weekend’s services:
1. Masks must be worn whilst inside the church premises, and by all servants whilst indoors.
2. For both the general congregation masses on both Saturday and Sunday, scouts will inform the congregation once capacity for the church is reached. Please be patient and cooperate with scouts if capacity has been reached.
3. Please do not congregate in large groups outside of the church premises. Preferably the congregation is encouraged, after the liturgy service to greet each, purchase their lunch, and to depart the Church premises, to prevent unnecessary attention or risk.
We pray for each other’s safety and unity, and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
3. HG Bishop Daniel will pray the 8:30am mass this Monday 17th May.

4. Church liturgical services:
Weekdays:
2 masses daily: 5-7 am and 8:30-10am.

5. Keep Church Clean Request
In the effort to keep our church clean, please help by:
1) Using the new nets to recycle cans and drink bottles (see picture attached). Please empty your cans and place them there. Also empty any drink bottles or cups from its contents before you throw it in the bins.
2) Collect your own rubbish. Please do not leave anything behind. If you find that the bin next to you is full, please find another one. There are also two big Veolia bins in the car park: one for general waste and one for cardboard (This includes pizza boxes – instead of filling up the small red bins, please use this large bin)
3) Do not bring any books/clothes or anything else, and leave it around the church as a donation. The only exception is the COCOS bin for male adult clothes. Please put the clothes directly inside the bin only.
Remember the Church is our Home, so please keep it clean.
6. Church Quarterly Cleaning Day – Saturday 22 May
Join us on Saturday 22 May for the quarterly cleaning day. 10am – 3pm.
Bring family and friends and have a joyous day cleaning our beautiful church.

يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع ابونا أوغسطينوس:
تذكّر حضور الله
يقول القديس ثيؤفان المتوحد في الحياة الروحية: " إن تذكر وجود الله أمر ضروري. بالحقيقة، ينبغي أن يكون هذا هو جهادنا في الحياة. إذا لم نحقق ذلك فلن نصل إلى أي شيء. لن ننجح في حياتنا الروحية بل لن تكون لنا حياة روحية على الإطلاق. أن تذكر الله هو جوهر الحياة الروحية. إنه أمر مهم للغاية.". لا يمكن التعامل مع تذكر الله على أنه فكر عادي. بل هو أمر عجيب ومجيد، نحن مدعوون لتوجيه اذهاننا وضمائرنا إلى كل مفهوم عن الله، كل صفة من صفاته، كل ما كشفه لنا عن نفسه، يجب أن تذكرنا كل أعماله الرحيمة والحنونة به كل يوم. وهذا ما يُشعل القلب والروح.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يجب ان نذكر أذهاننا بشكر الله وبتذكر كل الأشياء الجميلة التي انعم بها علينا، عائلاتنا، أصدقائنا، معيشتنا والاشتياق إلى الله، يجب أن نتذكر كل هذه الأشياء.
وفوق كل شيء، يجب أن نتذكر كل المراحم السرية التي اظهرها لنا الله، كل الطرق العديدة التي حفظنا فيها بطرق غير مرئية وخفية.
عندما نمارس تذكر الله ستلتهب فينا محبة الله ولن نتعب عند القيام بالصلاة وتذكر الله بل سيكون امراً طبيعياً.
كيف نجعل أذهاننا تتذكر الله خلال اليوم؟ ينصح القديس ثيؤفان بأن نعيد تفسير الأنشطة اليومية إلى وسائل لجذب الذهن والقلب إلى الله. من خلال إعادة تفسير الأنشطة اليومية إلى تفسير روحي حيث نتحرك بأذهاننا وخيالنا نحو الله.
على سبيل المثال عندما تستيقظ في الصباح لتغسل أسنانك، أتذكر الله وأقول: "اغسلني فأبيض أكثر من الثلج" مزمور ٥١:٧ (تذكر الله ينظف قلوبنا).
عندما تنظر من النافذة وترى الأشجار والرياح تحركها، يمكنني أن أتذكر الله وأقول كما في المزمور ١٩:١" السماوات تحدث بمجد الله، والفلك يخبر بعمل يديه" (الأشجار تصلي التسبحة)
أو عند قيادة السيارة أستطيع أن أتذكر السيد المسيح وأقول " أنا هو الطريق والحق والحياة" يوحنا ١٤:٦ (يا رب أرشدني إلى طريق السماء)
أو عند الرجوع إلى المنزل وعند فتح الباب نتذكر السيد المسيح وهو يقول " اجتهدوا أن تدخلوا من الباب الضيق" لوقا ١٣:٢٤ ( نستطيع أن ندخل من الباب الضيق فقط من خلال السيد المسيح)
أو عند الطهي يمكن أن نقول " اِعْمَلُوا لاَ لِلطَّعَامِ الْبَائِدِ، بَلْ لِلطَّعَامِ الْبَاقِي لِلْحَيَاة الأبدية" يوحنا ٦:٢٧ أو " ما أحلى قولك لحنكي! أحلى من العسل لفمي." مزمور ١١٩:١٠٣
أو عند إضافة ملح إلى الطعام يمكن أن نتذكر " الملح جيد ولكن إذا صار الملح بلا ملوحة فبماذا تصلحونه" مرقس ٩:٥٠ (السيد المسيح فقط هو الذي يعطي طعم لحياتنا)
أو عندما أرى ابونا يعقوب، ابونا جوناثان، أبونا مارك، أبونا مايكل، أبونا ديفيد وأبونا إيلايجا اقول مع حنة في ١صمويل ٢:١ " فَرِحَ قَلْبِي بِالرَّبِّ. ارْتَفَعَ قَرْنِي (قوتي) بِالرَّبِّ. "
عندما تركز أذهاننا على وجود الله وتذكره خلال اليوم سيصعب علينا جداً أن نخطئ. من خلال إعادة تفسير انشطتنا اليومية إلى سمات روحية سنعمل مع مرور الوقت على مواءمة اذهاننا وضمائرنا مع الله. وهذا بدوره سيعزز حباً عميقاً لله وحياة مملوءة من النعمة عندما ندخل في الحياة الروحية التي لمجد الله.
٢.القيود الفورية لكوفيد ١٩ / إجراءات إضافية
يتم تذكير الشعب بالإجراءات الإضافية التالية السارية من الأسبوع الماضي ولا تزال سارية حتى الآن وستسري أيضاً على يومي السبت والأحد القادمين:
ا. يجب ارتداء الأقنعة أثناء التواجد داخل مباني الكنيسة ومن قبل جميع الخدام أثناء التواجد في الداخل.
ب. بالنسبة لكل من القداس العام للشعب يومي السبت والأحد، سيقوم الكشافة بإبلاغ المصلين بمجرد الوصول إلى سعة الكنيسة. يرجى التحلي بالصبر والتعاون مع الكشافة إذا تم الوصول إلى السعة المحددة.
ت. يرجى عدم التجمع في مجموعات كبيرة خارج مبنى الكنيسة. نحث المصلين، بعد القداس، على إلقاء التحية على بعض، وشراء غداءهم، ومغادرة مباني الكنيسة، لمنع لفت الانتباه غير الضروري أو المخاطرة
نصلي من أجل سلامة ووحدتنا بعضنا البعض، ونشكركم على تفهمكم وتعاونكم
٣.سيصلي الأنبا دانيال قداس يوم الاثنين القادم ١٧ مايو الساعة ٨:٣٠

٤.خدمات القداسات بالكنيسة
أيام الأسبوع:
قداسان يومياً: ٥-٧ صباحاً و ٨:٣٠-١٠ صباحاً
يومي السبت والأحد:
يُرجى الاطلاع على الجدول المرفق لقداسات يومي السبت والأحد
٥.طلب الحفاظ على نظافة الكنيسة:
في محاولة الحفاظ على نظافة الكنيسة، يُرجى المساعدة من خلال:
ا. استخدام الأكياس الشبكية الجديدة لإعادة تدوير العلب والزجاجات. من فضلك فرغ العلب وضعها في الشبكة. وأيضاً فرغ أي زجاجات الشرب أو الأكواب من محتويتها قبل القائها في صندوق القمامة.
ب. اجمع القمامة الخاصة بك. من فضلك لا تترك أي شيء وراءك. إذا وجدت صندوق القمامة القريب منك ممتلئ، من فضلك ابحث عن صندوق قمامة أخر. ويوجد أيضاً صندوقان Veolia في موقف السيارات: أحدهما للقمامة العامة والآخر للكرتون (مثل صناديق البيتزا – بدلاً من ملء الصناديق الحمراء الصغيرة، من فضلك استخدم هذا الصندوق الكبير.)
ج. لا تحضر أي كتب/ ملابس أو أي شيء آخر وتتركه في الكنيسة كنوع من التبرعات. الاستثناء الوحيد هو صندوق COCOS لملابس الرجال الراشدين. من فضلك ضع الملابس مباشرةً وفقط داخل الصندوق.
تذكر أن الكنيسة هي بيتنا، من فضلك حافظ على نظافتها.
٦.يوم تنظيف الكنيسة الربع سنوي – السبت 22 مايو
انضم إلينا يوم السبت 22 مايو في يوم تنظيف الكنيسة الربع سنوي. 10 صباحًا – 3 ظهراً
اجلب العائلة والأصدقاء واستمتع بيوم مفرح في تنظيف كنيستنا الجميلة.
