1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Yacoub:
Abdel-Mesih and his wife Demiana have 3 teenage kids. A small devil (D) had orders from Satan (S) to destroy the kids. A discussion took place as follows:
S: Destroy the 3 of them.
D: How?
S: let Demiana despise her husband. Always suggest to her to criticise him in front of the kids.
D: How about Abdel-Mesih?
S: Convince him to be violent with her.
D: Is that all?
S: No.. let both mum and dad take them out of the Coptic school.
D: Is that all?
S: No.. Sunday school has a strong effect. Let both parents hate the Coptic community.
D: I’ll try. But I cannot succeed while Fr. Augustinos is praying daily early masses.
2. St Mark’s Feast – tonight Friday 7 May
The Eve of St Mark’s Feast is tonight Friday 7th May at 7pm.
+ 2 services for the feast will be in the Cathedral and in the Upper Room church.
+ HG Bishop Daniel will bless us on the night.
+ The night includes, vesper, changing the relics, procession, choir, drama and spiritual talks.
+ Agapy and gifts will be given.
Please come and share in the joy of celebrating St Mark in his church in Sydney.
3. Immediate COVID Restrictions/additional measures
Dear beloved congregation,
Given the recent announcements, again imposing further COVID restrictions, the congregation is reminded of the following additional measures effective from 5 pm Thursday night and for this weekend’s services:
1. Masks must be worn whilst inside the church premises, and by all servants whilst indoors.
2. For both the general congregation masses on both Saturday and Sunday, scouts will inform the congregation once capacity for the church is reached. Please be patient and cooperate with scouts if capacity has been reached.
3. Please do not congregate in large groups outside of the church premises. Preferably the congregation is encouraged, after the liturgy service to greet each, purchase their lunch, and to depart the Church premises, to prevent unnecessary attention or risk.
We pray for each other’s safety and unity, and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Join us on Saturday 22 May for the quarterly cleaning day. 10am – 3pm.

تمت محاولة شريرة من ابليس لارسال تلميذه الصغير " شرير"، لتدمير أسرة عم عبد المسيح وزوجته دميانة وأولادهم الثلاثة. وكان هذا هو حديثهم:
ابليس: عليك وعائلة عم عبد المسيح
شرير: دي عيلة صعبة جدا وأولادهم طول النهار صلاة وصوم.
ابليس: اقنع دميانة تحتقر جوزها أمام الاولاد وأقنع عبد المسيح أنه يكون عنيف جدا لدرجة الضرب.
شرير: وايه كمان
ابليس: قل لهم المدرسة القبطية عزلتهم عن المجتمع وخليهم يطلعوا اولادهم لمدرسة تانية.

٣. القيود الفورية لكوفيد ١٩ / إجراءات إضافية
شعب الكنيسة المبارك،
نظرًا للإعلانات الأخيرة ، وفرض المزيد من قيود COVID مرة أخرى ، يتم تذكير الشعب بالإجراءات الإضافية التالية التي تسري اعتبارًا من الساعة 5 مساءً ليلة الخميس وعلى خدمات يومي السبت والأحد:
1. يجب ارتداء الأقنعة أثناء التواجد داخل مباني الكنيسة ومن قبل جميع الخدام أثناء التواجد في الداخل.
2. بالنسبة لكل من القداس العام للشعب يومي السبت والأحد ، سيقوم الكشافة بإبلاغ المصلين بمجرد الوصول إلى سعة الكنيسة. يرجى التحلي بالصبر والتعاون مع الكشافة إذا تم الوصول إلى السعة المحددة.
3. يرجى عدم التجمع في مجموعات كبيرة خارج مبنى الكنيسة. نحث المصلين ، بعد القداس ، على إلقاء التحية على بعض ، وشراء غداءهم ، ومغادرة مباني الكنيسة ، لمنع لفت الانتباه غير الضروري أو المخاطرة.

تفهمكم وتعاونكم.
