1.Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Michael:
Prodigal son
In the story of the prodigal son, we see the younger son asks his father for what belongs to him.
God gives us gifts, and if we make of it a gift to others, which causes the original gift to increase.
For God is love, and He gives us what we have.
The prodigal son instead of giving the gift that he received, he hangs on it as his possession. This stops the grace of God to him.
The prodigal son insults his father saying to him ” to me you are dead”.
Sometimes, we do same, when we ask God ‘give me what belongs to me’, and when given, we waste it on ourselves ( prodigal living).
So, what is the solution?
How to keep the Divine life (the Fruits of the Spirit)?
Give your Divine life to others, for if you keep it, you will lose it. This is our Lord Jesus principal.
” For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it”. Matthew 16:25

Wednesday and Fridays: Extra late mass 1 – 2:30pm

4. Bible Study Competition during Lent (English version)
The Bible Study Competition during Lent is on the book of Isiah – Chapters 40 – 66. Our focus is “Christ in the book of Isiah”.
Please find the attached Competition booklet in English. Hardcopies are available at Church.

١. الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس ابونا مايكل
الأبن الضال
في قصة الابن الضال، نرى الابن الأصغر يسأل والده عن حقه في الميراث.
الله يعطينا عطايا، فإذا اعطيناها للآخرين، سيؤدي هذا إلى زيادة العطية الأصلية.
لأن الله محبة، وهو الذي اعطانا ما لدينا الآن .
الابن الضال بدلا من يعطي الهدية التي تلقاها، تعلق بها كأنها ملكه. وهذا ما منع عنه نعمة الله .
الابن الضال أهان والده قائلا له “بالنسبة لي، أنت ميت”.
احياناً كثيرة نفعل نفس الشيء، نطلب من الله أن يعطينا ما نعتقد إنه يخصنا، وعندما نٌعطى، نضيعه على أنفسنا (الحياة المسرفة).
فما هو الحل؟.
كيف نحافظ على حياة القداسة (ثمار الروح القدس)؟.
أعط حياتك المقدسة للآخرين، لأنك إذا احتفظت بها لنفسك، ستفقدها. هذا هو مبدأ ربنا يسوع.
“لأن من أراد أن يخلص نفسه يهلكها، ومن يهلك نفسه من أجلي يجدها”. متى 16:25”
