1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Elijah:
I remember when I was a child Abouna Yacoub encouraged us to read the gospel of Saint John during the holy 50 days.
He said that if there was only one copy of this gospel and it was on the other side of the country, he would walk! It made me wonder what I was missing. Let us heed this advice, enjoy the Sunday gospel readings from the gospel of St John and read and study it during these joyful days.
2. Church services return to normal from Sunday 23 April
Note: this Saturday 22 April: 6 – 8am and 8:30 – 10am liturgies in the Arabic church and 7pm vesper.
Sunday:
6 – 8am: Arabic church – early liturgy
8:30 – 10:30am: Arabic church
8:30 – 10am: Upper Room and High School (in Hall)
8:30 – 9:30am: St Wanas
Monday to Friday: 5 – 7am and 8:30 – 10am liturgies
Saturday: 6 – 8am and 8:30 – 10am liturgies
3. Prayer Service for Peace in Sudan
With the escalating violence in Sudan, the Diocese will conduct a prayer service for peace at St Abanoub Church tonight Friday 21 April at 8 – 9:30pm.
The prayer service will be led by HG Bishop Daniel.
4. St Mark’s school of Academic Excellence – updated timetable
St Marks School of Academic Excellence is excited to announce the Term 2 timetable for Year 11 and 12 Tutoring. Included in the timetable is a new year 11 class for Chemistry and a new class for English. You can register via the link on the information poster attached.
Please note, Year 12 Chemistry is no longer available in Term 2 but an intensive course may be offered in the future.
Term 2 will begin the week of 24 April.
There are no fees for classes but please consider making a donation to the St Wanas Charity instead.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية:
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا إيلايجا،
أتذكر وأنا طفل، كان أبونا يعقوب يشجعنا على قراءة انجيل القديس يوحنا خلال الخمسين يوم المقدسة.
فكان يقول لوكان هناك نسخة واحدة من هذا الإنجيل على الجانب الآخر من البلاد، لكان يذهب سيراً على الأقدام ليحصل عليها. مما جعلني اتعجب ما عسى أن يكون هذا الذي افتقده. فلنحرص على العمل بهذه النصيحة، ونستمتع بقراءات يوم الأحد من انجيل القديس يوحنا ونقرأه وندرسه خلال هذه الأيام المفرحة.
٢.تعاود الكنيسة خدماتها كالمعتاد من يوم الأحد الموافق ٢٣ أبريل

٣.صلاة من أجل حلول السلام في السودان
مع تصاعد العنف في السودان، ستقيم الأبرشية بكنيسة القديس أبانوب صلاة من أجل السلام، اليوم الجمعة الموافق ٢١ أبريل من ٨ – ٩:٣٠ مساءً
سيقود الصلاة نيافة الأسقف أنبا دانيال
٤.مدرسة كنيسة سانت مارك – اكاديميك اكسلنس
يسر مدرسة سانت مارك أن تعلن عن جدول التدريس في الفصل الثاني من السنة الدراسية للصفين ١١ و١٢. يشمل الجدول فصل جديد وهو مادة الكيمياء للصف 11 وفصل جديد للغة الإنجليزية.
