1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Yacoub:
A gentleman in our church told me this experience, he said “Your wife bought me for Christ with $2. I came a long time ago to St Mark’s church, full of sadness and desperate for love and care from anyone. After the mass, I stood lonely outside the church, then a middle-aged woman came to me with a cup of coffee. She gave that to me and said “please don’t be sad”. She was your wife.”
There’s another experience I heard from a priest from Egypt, he said “I am a sinner according to my past, I have little or no hope that the Lord will accept me to heaven. However, because of me there are a number of people in the church who know Christ. I welcome them with my God given gift of my sense of humour, and they come and they know Christ. Will He accept me with them, in a procession to go to heaven together?”
Now I ask you a question which Abouna Makary Younan used to say in his prayer. Should I prepare a gift to give to Christ before I die and meet Him in heaven? What type of gift? I’ll tell you what makes Jesus happy. A smile to one of His children in the church, a cup of coffee or a sandwich that you give to one of His children. When you stand in a queue to buy koshari or a sandwich from the kitchen, please talk and smile to the person in front of you and behind you.
May the Lord keep this community of love a source for our happiness and our salvation.

3. Meet and Greet For Year 5 and 6 Parents – this Sunday 26 March
Dear St Mark Families,
We’re delighted to be back this year with our Sunday school parents meet and greet where you get the opportunity to meet parents from your children’s Sunday school class.
Join us this Sunday the 26th of March for the year 5 & 6 parents Meet and Greet in the English Church at 11.15am.

4. Message from the Library
It is the time you are waiting for; the library will hand out all the presents for the summer library competition! Come to the library to get your present on Saturday 25/3 and Sunday 26/3. Please remember to return any overdue books.
5. Parents Seminar- Managing Sibling Conflict – this Sunday 26 March
St Marks Family Fellowship is excited to announce our March Parent Seminar on the topic of ‘Managing Sibling Conflict’.
There will be a panel of speakers including Father Michael, Dr Wagdy Nada and Maggie Sowmi.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية:
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا يعقوب
حكى لي أحد الرجال في كنيستنا خبرته، فقال " زوجتك اشترتني للسيد المسيح ب ٢ دولار. جئت منذ زمن بعيد إلى كنيسة القديس مارمرقس، وكنت حزين جداً ومتشوق إلى محبة أو اهتمام أي أحد. بعد القداس، كنت أقف لوحدي خارج الكنيسة، ثم اقتربت مني سيدة في منتصف العمر ومعها كوب من القهوة اعطتني اياه وقالت لي "من فضلك لا تحزن". هذه السيدة هي زوجتك.
هناك خبرة أخرى سمعتها من أحد الكهنة في مصر، قال " بالنسبة إلى ماضي فأنا انسان خاطي، قد ينعدم لدي الأمل أو يوجد بصيص منه في قبول الله لي ولكن بسببي تعرف عدد كبير من الناس في الكنيسة على السيد المسيح. فأنا اقابلهم بالعطية التي أعطاها لي الله وهي روح الفكاهة وبها يأتون ويتعرفون على السيد المسيح. هل سيقبلني معهم، في الموكب إلى السماء؟
والآن، أوجه لك سؤال اعتاد ابونا مكاري يونان طرحه في صلاته. هل اعددت هدية أقدمها للسيد المسيح قبل ما انتقل واقابله في السماء؟ ما هو نوع الهدية" سأقول لك ما يفرح قلب السيد المسيح. ابتسامة في وجه أحد أولاده/ بناته في الكنيسة، كوب قهوة أو سندوتش تعطيه لأحد أولاده. عندما تقف في الطابور لشراء الكشري أو سندوتش من المطبخ، من فضلك تكلم مع الشخص الذي يقف أمامك أو خلفك وابتسم في وجه.
نطلب من الله أن يديم شركة المحبة هذه لتكون مصدر لسعادتنا وخلاصنا.

٥.ندوة أولياء الأمور – إدارة نزاع الأشقاء – الأحد ٢٦ مارس
يسر خدمة المودة الأسرية بكنيسة سانت مارك الإعلان عن ندوة الآباء لشهر مارس وهي عن "كيفية التعامل مع النزاع بين الأشقاء".
سيكون هناك مجموعة من المتحدثين تتضمن قدس أبونا مايكل والدكتور وجدي ندا وماجي سومي.
