Contemplation (verse 8): “Christ did not wait for us to be righteous before He loved us. Rather, while we were still sinners, He gave Himself up for us. This shows that His love is beyond measure, not depending on our worthiness, but on His mercy.” (+ St John Chrysostom)
Personal Reflection: How does it make you feel to know that Christ loved you even when you were far from Him? How can that change the way you think about yourself and how you treat others?
Bible Knowledge Question: What is the proof of God’s love for us that St Paul’s gives in this passage?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me even when I was far from You. Help me to always remember that my peace and hope are in You, and let Your love shape how I live and love others.
