Contemplation
“In matters that are essential, there must be unity; in matters that are doubtful, liberty; and in all things, charity. For no one should use his freedom to harm another, nor should one despise his brother because he lives differently. The measure of true strength is not in forcing your way, but in bearing patiently with the weakness of others.”
+ St. Augustine of Hippo
Personal Reflection
What does it mean to “pursue the things which make for peace”? How can you show love and understanding toward someone who believes or acts differently from you?
Bible Knowledge Question
Why does St. Paul say we will all “stand before the judgment seat of Christ”?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are the Judge of all, yet You are patient and merciful. Teach me not to judge others, but to love and support them. Help me bring peace where there is division, and understanding where there is disagreement. Give me a humble heart that seeks unity in You, for You alone see what is hidden in every heart..
