Contemplation (verse 2)
The expression ‘as long as I live’, came to mean ‘all the days of my life’; for the believer’s whole life is day and light; as according to the apostle Paul, we do not know the night. There is no place for the darkness in our hearts, nor before our eyes, for we are the dwelling place for Christ, the true Light, and are perpetually in His presence.
+ St Jerome
Personal Reflection
If your “whole life is day and light” in Christ, what areas of your life might still feel like “night” that you need to bring to Him?
