Contemplation
“When danger surrounded God’s people, the Lord stirred the heart of His servant to stand in the gap. Mordecai’s grief was not a sign of despair, but of holy courage that refuses to be silent in the face of evil. Esther, placed in the palace by divine providence, was called to rise above fear. God often prepares deliverance long before the trial appears; He puts His faithful ones in the right place at the right time. Yet He waits for their cooperation, for salvation is worked through both the grace of God and the obedience of His servants. In her fasting and humble surrender, Esther became a vessel through which God revealed His power.”

Personal Reflection
Sometimes God places you in a certain friendship group, school, or situation to speak up when others won’t, or to stand for what is right when others stay silent. Where might God be asking me to speak, act, or stand up — even if it feels risky or uncomfortable?
Bible Knowledge Question
What did Esther ask the Jews to do before she went in to see the king?
Prayer
Lord, give us the courage of Esther and the conviction of Mordecai. When fear rises, help us to remember that You place us where we are for a purpose. Teach us to fast, pray, and trust in Your timing. Strengthen us to act with boldness, loyalty, and faith, even when it feels costly. Use us, Lord, as You used Esther — for Your glory and the good of Your people. Amen.
