Contemplation (verse 4): The Lord tells Habakkuk to write the vision clearly, so that whoever reads may run with it. The vision is certain, though it seems to delay, for God’s promises are sure. The proud rely on themselves and fall; the righteous live by faith—trusting God’s timing and goodness. Faith is not only belief but steadfastness and humility before the mystery of God’s plan. + St Cyril of Alexandria
Personal Reflection: When God’s promises seem slow to be fulfilled, do you become impatient, or do you keep trusting and waiting in faith?
Bible Knowledge Question: According to Habakkuk 2:4, what distinguishes the righteous from the proud?
Prayer: Lord, give me a humble and patient heart. Help me to live by faith, trusting that Your timing and Your plans are always perfect, even when I cannot see them.
