Today the 22nd of September 2025 we celebrate the life of Samir Ghattas who was born on this same day in 1943 and who has departed this vain world to join in the everlasting life with our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The husband of Dawalt Ghattas, father of Gina Ghattas and Fr Joseph Ghattas husband of Nancy Ghattas. The brother of Sarah Ayoub, Uncle of Mark Ayoub. The cousin of Attia Mikhail the husband of Marcel Attia and uncle of Fr Mathew Attia and Ramy Attia and the grandfather of Mark, Gabriella and James.
The Family will accept condolences at St Marks Coptic Orthodox Church Arncliffe at Vespers 7pm on Tuesday 23rd of September. Funeral will be at St Marks Coptic Orthodox Church Arncliffe 10am and the burial 1pm Eastern suburbs memorial park on Thursday the 25th of September.
This is a great day, it is better than all the other days of my life, for today my soul departs from bodily suffering and goes to rest in its heavenly habitation. Today my body will find respite from its many labors and illnesses. Today the light of my rest will receive me.
