Contemplation (verse 2-4): Habakkuk begins by crying out because of the corruption he sees. He does not doubt God’s justice, but struggles to understand why God seems to delay. The prophet’s honesty in questioning shows that faith is not silence before confusion, but a living dialogue with God. Faith waits for the answer, knowing that God’s justice may seem delayed but is never denied. Fr Tadros Yacoub Malaty

Personal Reflection: When you see injustice or suffering around you, how do you respond — by turning away, or by turning to God in prayer like Habakkuk did?

Bible Knowledge Question: Why does Habakkuk question God?

Prayer: Lord, when I don’t understand Your ways, help me to trust that You are still at work. Teach me to bring my doubts and frustrations to You, knowing that Your justice and mercy never fail.
