Contemplation (verse 32): Perverted human tradition is the source of great evil for us, in that some sins are denounced while others are viewed with indifference. Crimes like homicide and adultery are the object of a violent but feigned indignation while others, like anger, reviling, drunkenness or avarice (greed), are not considered deserving of even a simple admonition. (+ Basil the Great)

Personal Reflection: Are there certain sins in our lives that we have “normalised” and decide to turn a blind eye to? Examine your heart not just for sinful actions, but also for approval or tolerance of sin in media, friendships, or thoughts.

Bible Knowledge Question: What does St Paul explicitly say is the punishment of those who practice wickedness?

Prayer: Dear Lord, help us to repent from all our sins, even the sins that are in our thoughts or lingering in our hearts that we may be purified from inside out
