Contemplation (verse 25)
”Josiah did not only issue commands to break down idols, but first made a covenant before the Lord, and he personally walked in obedience with all his heart. He realized that reform begins in the heart before it is proclaimed in the land. His deep love for God made him zealous to cleanse the land from every defilement.”
+ Fr Tadros Yacoub Malaty
Personal Reflection: Do I try to live out my faith fully, or do I keep some areas of my life untouched by God’s Word? Am I willing to get rid of habits, influences, or sins that are not pleasing to God?
Bible Knowledge Question: What major festival did Josiah command the people to celebrate after renewing the covenant?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to love You with all my heart, soul, and strength. Give me courage to remove anything from my life that draws me away from You, and help me to be fully Yours. Amen.
