Contemplation (verses 17)
Amid betrayal and bloodshed, God preserved His covenant. The lamp of David would not be extinguished. Through Jehosheba’s courage and Jehoiada’s faithfulness, God raised up a faithful king. Even when evil seems to reign, the Lord keeps His promises and works through His hidden saints.

Do I believe God is still working even when I can’t see Him? Am I willing to be faithful like Jehosheba or Jehoiada, even if no one notices?
