Contemplation (verses 25-26): It was not without cause that the leper Naaman of the old was cleansed by baptism; but that was also meant for all of us, who are inflicted with the leprosy of sin, and unable to get cleansed. For by the holy water, and calling for the Lord, we would be cleansed of our old transgressions; and be spiritually renewed like newly born children. _____ + Tertullian of Carthage

Personal Reflection: Am I willing to humble myself like Naaman, even when God’s instructions challenge my pride or expectations? Do I believe in the power of spiritual cleansing through the sacraments?

Bible Knowledge Question: How many times did Elisha tell Naaman to dip in the Jordan River to be healed?

Prayer: Lord, cleanse me from the leprosy of sin. Help me to obey You without doubt, and to find healing not only in body but in soul. Renew me, O God. Amen.
