Contemplation (verses 36)
God’s word through the prophets does not fall to the ground. Though years may pass, and evil may seem to reign, His justice will be revealed. Jezebel mocked God and killed His prophets, but in the end, her judgment was complete. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promises, but waits that all might repent.

Do I sometimes doubt that God sees injustice or that He will act? Am I willing to wait on God’s timing, trusting that He is both patient and just?

Prayer
Lord, teach me to fear Your justice and trust in Your timing. Let me never mock Your word, but humble myself and repent. Thank You that Your justice is sure, and Your mercy is always available. Amen.
