Contemplation (verses 1-6): God granted the widow as much oil as the many vessels she presented. He gives His gift as much as we request, and fills as much as we can receive. Our faith and our obedience open up the storehouses of God for us to take more than we seek and more than we need. As wide as we open our mouth, He fills them. Personal Reflection: Do I bring empty vessels before God in faith, ready to be filled? Or do I limit Him by coming half-heartedly? How can I grow in my trust in God’s generosity?
