Contemplation (verses 14-19)
Hezekiah’s prayer confesses not to inform God, but to exercise faith—presenting his fear to God, trusting in His compassion.
+ St. Augustine of Hippo

Personal Reflection
Hezekiah didn’t panic, but rather he prayed. Do I take my fears and pressures directly to God, or do I try to solve them myself first? What does it mean to lay my burdens before the Lord?

Bible Knowledge Question
What was Hezekiah’s prayer when he received Sennacherib’s threat, and how did God respond?

Prayer
Lord, when I feel surrounded by fear or pressure, remind me to come straight to You. Help me to pray honestly and trust that You are powerful, present, and compassionate.
