Contemplation (verses 3-4)
Hezekiah, though a king, showed no trust in armies or gold, but in the living God; and he broke down every image which hindered the lifegiving worship of God.
+ St. John Chrysostom

Personal Reflection
Hezekiah removed even the “good” things that became idols. Are there things in my life, even blessings, that I cling to more than God? Am I willing to tear them down?

Bible Knowledge Question
How did Hezekiah respond to the rising Assyrian threat, and what made his leadership spiritually different from previous kings?

Prayer
God, help me to be courageous like Hezekiah, in order to trust You over my circumstances, and to tear down anything that gets in the way of loving You with a whole heart.
