Please note the following (4) announcements and reminders:

1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father David:

The Feast of the Epiphany is a Major lordly feast in our orthodox calendar. The word Epiphany means manifesting or revealing. Because at Christ’s Baptism, all three Persons of the Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—were revealed, this feast is also known as "Theophany".

The greatest news for us is that God became part of His creation in order to make us new. “As many of you as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ.” Gal 3:26

Being baptized into Christ means to die from all that separates us from God.

At the Feast of Epiphany, we are reminded that the worldly challenges we face do not need to separate us from God any longer. He has conquered even death on our behalf. Instead, we need to actively choose God and make a conscious decision to leave sin and laziness behind from this day forward.

May every aspect of our lives become an epiphany – a revealing of the hope of God’s salvation in our lives. May we truly offer every aspect of our life to the Lord and have the desire for Him to use us as vessels with which He can reveal Himself to everyone we interact with.

Happy feast of our Lords Theophany!

2. Nomination of Mr. Anthony (Johnny) Sharkawy as a candidate for Priesthood
Please find the attached document from St Mark Church Council with candidate profile. Voting will be on Sunday 5 February.

3. Low Sensory Liturgy – 5pm, Friday 3 February
For Children and their families who would benefit from a quieter liturgy.
In St Wanas Church with low light, no microphone, soft cymbals and less crowds.

4. Women at the Well – Choose to "Unsubscribe" – Saturday 4 March
Women at the well invite all weary women to a warm evening of fellowship, refreshment and dicussion with Fr. Elijah and Sarah Attala (counsellor)

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية:

يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا ديفيد

إن عيد الغطاس هو عيد سيدي كبير في تقويمنا الأرثوذكسي. كلمة "ابيفاني" تعني الظهور أو الكشف. لأنه في معمودية السيد المسيح تم الكشف عن الأقانيم الثالثة للثالوث القدوس – الآب والابن والروح القدس – يُعرف هذا العيد أيضًا باسم "الثيئوفاني".

أعظم حدث بالنسبة لنا هو أن الله أصبح جزءً من خليقته. "أن كلكم الذين اعتمدتم بالمسيح قد لبستم المسيح" غلا ٣:٢٧

أن نعتمد بالمسيح يعني الموت من كل ما يفصلنا عن الله.

في عيد الغطاس، نتذكر أن التحديات الدنيوية التي نواجها لا تحتاج أن تفصلنا عن الله بعد الآن. لقد انتصر السيد المسيح حتى على الموت نيابة عنا. بل نحتاج إلى اختيار الله بجدية ونتخذ قرار واعي بترك الخطية والكسل وراءنا من هذا اليوم فصاعدًا.

أتمنى أن يصبح كل جانب من جوانب حياتنا ظهور إلهي – يكشف عن الرجاء بخلاص الله في حياتنا. نرجو أن نقدم بالفعل كل جانب من جوانب حياتنا للرب ونرغب في أن يستخدمنا كأواني يمكن بواسطتها الكشف عن نفسه لكل شخص نتعامل معه.

كل عيد للظهور الإلهي وأنتم بخير

٣.قداس ذو مدركات حسية منخفضة – 5 مساءً، الجمعة 3 فبراير

للأطفال وعائلاتهم للاستفادة من قداس هادئ.

في كنيسة القديس انبا ونس، قداس يتميز بالإضاءة المنخفضة، بدون ميكروفون وبالعزف الهادئ للدف وبعدد حاضرين أقل.

٤نساء عند البئر – اختاري " عدم الاشتراك" – السبت ٤ مارس

يدعو جروب "نساء عند البئر" جميع النساء المرهقة إلى أمسية للتمتع بالمودة وتناول المرطبات والحديث مع أبونا ايلايجا وسارة عطا الله أخصائية المشورة
