A Spiritual Message from Fr Augustinos:
“Come up here and I will show things”
Revelation 4:1 “I looked, and behold a door standing open in heaven and then I heard voice like trumpet speaking to me saying “Come up here and I will show you things”.
The glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ opens for us the doors of Paradise that was closed from the time of Adam and Eve. St Paul gives us a look at what is in Paradise as described in 2 Corinthians 12:3-4 “And I know a man was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible word”. God revealed to St Paul what Paradise was like while he was in a spiritual state. He saw the beautiful vision of Paradise, inexpressible in human language. St John the beloved on the other hand, was taken up to the glory of the throne of God and saw what very few will see on earth but is there for all to see if we seek the spiritual world. The Resurrection has revealed to us the life of the world to come, which we were denied of from the time of Adam. The Resurrection has revealed to us our eternal home which is awaiting, it has revealed to us the true meaning and wisdom of the spiritual life, it has revealed to us the invincible love of God, it has revealed to us that we are valued as Gods royal children and we have a Father who is the king of all Kings waiting and eager to give us a Royal seat in His eternal Kingdom. This can only be desired by those who experience the deep mysteries of the Love of God that our Lord Jesus has brought to us on earth. The power of the love Christ has no comparison to anything, it has no measurements, it has no limits. One of the saints said, “the world would have exploded, if Christ had not risen from it, the earth was incapable of containing Him within itself”. This is the power of the real heavenly eternal divine love. The might of His incredible love of the King of Heaven, visited the earth, endured worst kind humiliation, all form of torture, and finally Resurrected in Glory.
Christ assured us of heaven when He said “I go and prepare a place for you, and receive you to Myself, where I am, there you may be also” John14:3. It is so beautiful and so personal that the Lord Jesus wants to receive us to Himself and to be partakers of His divine nature.
Are we ready to be received by our Lord? Are we ready to be glorified and take our seat in the heavenly kingdom and be Royal sons and daughter of the eternal King of Kings?
Blessed feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
