A spiritual message from Fr Michael:
We are all waiting for our salvation this coming Good Friday. What is the cost of this salvation to us?
Many characters in the bible valued this salvation, and paid a great price for it. Zacchaeus said “look,Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold”. Luke 19.
He gave all for his salvation.
The sinful woman, was willing to become lamb before wolves (house full of Pharisees) to be torn into pieces. Not only that but also paid a huge amount of money on fragrant oil, for her salvation.
This was the beginning of their relationship with the Lord. In turn, do we give God the beginning of our day? Do we give God our priority first? Do we give up on the things that take us away from God? Let us examine ourselves to see how much this salvation means to us.
Our Lord said ask, seek, and knock to find out how much we strive for our salvation. For if we take the example of Zacchaeus and the sinful women, we will hear our Lord saying ” your faith have saved you. Go in peace “. Luke 7:50
