|St Anastasia of Sirmium
Claim to fame: She often ministered to those who were imprisoned for their faith without her husband’s knowledge as he was a pagan worshipper. She is known in the Eastern Orthodox Church as the Patron of those suffering from poisons and martyrs. She was martyred for refusing to deny her faith by the Emperor Florus.
Fun fact: Her mother baptized her secretly without her father’s knowledge and she brought her up in the teachings of the Christian faith.
