And we hid, as it were,\u00a0<em>our<\/em>\u00a0faces from Him; He was despised, and\u00a0we did not esteem Him.<strong><sup>4<\/sup><\/strong> Surely\u00a0He has borne our\u00a0griefs And carried our\u00a0sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. <strong><sup>5<\/sup><\/strong> But He\u00a0<em>was<\/em>\u00a0woundedfor our transgressions, <em>He was<\/em>\u00a0bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace\u00a0<em>was<\/em>\u00a0upon Him, And by His\u00a0stripeswe are healed. <strong><sup>6<\/sup><\/strong> All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the\u00a0Lord\u00a0has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. <strong><sup>7<\/sup><\/strong>He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet\u00a0He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. <strong><sup>8\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>He was\u00a0taken from\u00a0prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For\u00a0He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. <strong><sup>9\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And\u00a0they made His grave with the wicked\u2014 But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor\u00a0<em>was any<\/em>\u00a0deceit in His mouth. <strong><sup>10\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Yet it pleased the\u00a0Lord\u00a0to\u00a0bruise Him; He has put\u00a0<em>Him<\/em>\u00a0to grief. When You make His soul\u00a0an offering for sin, He shall see\u00a0<em>His<\/em>\u00a0seed, He shall prolong\u00a0<em>His<\/em>\u00a0days, And the pleasure of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0shall prosper in His hand. <strong><sup>11\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>He shall see the labor of His soul,\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0be satisfied. By His knowledge\u00a0My righteous\u00a0Servant shall\u00a0justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. <strong><sup>12\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the\u00a0spoil with the strong, Because He\u00a0poured out His soul unto death, And He was\u00a0numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And\u00a0made intercession for the transgressors.<\/p><cite>Isaiah 53:1-12<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Question<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When we consider tribulation as an opportunity to share in the suffering of Christ, patience naturally follow.
