Let it be to you as you desire.\u201d And her daughter was healed from that very hour.<\/em> &#8211; Matthew 15:27-28<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Discussion Questions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Using the passage as a guide, what are some differences between humility and self-depreciation? Hint: \u201c<em>Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it\u2019s thinking of yourself less<\/em>\u201d &#8211; Clive Staples Lewis<\/li><li>&#8220;<em>It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise Than for a man to hear the song of fools<\/em>.\u201d Eccl. 7:5 \u2013 What are some practical steps to receiving rebuke constructively? <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Old Testament Passage<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Then David said to the Philistine, \u201cYou come\nto me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the\nname of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have\ndefied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you\nand take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp\nof the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth,\nthat all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all this\nassembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the\nbattle is the Lord\u2019s, and He will give you into our hands.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>So the women\u00a0sang as they danced, and said: \u201cSaul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands.\u201d Then Saul was very angry, and the saying\u00a0displeased him; and he said, \u201cThey have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed\u00a0only\u00a0thousands.
