Where did you find peace?<br \/>\nWhat gave you comfort in distress, so your joy would only increase?<br \/>\nI long to have peace, just as you did<br \/>\nI long for the darkest times of my life to be over, and have what my Saviour bid<\/p>\n<p>What was your secret, David? How did you become a man after God&#8217;s own heart?<br \/>\nWhat an honour, what a privilege to know nothing could tear you apart<br \/>\nYou began venting, letting all your emotions out<br \/>\nAnd it turned into praises where you did shout<\/p>\n<p>I long for your strength and God&#8217;s gentle voice<br \/>\nI feel as if He isn&#8217;t there or perhaps it&#8217;s my choice<br \/>\nI long for His love and embrace<br \/>\nI long for His compassion; His grace<\/p>\n<p>I walk in this life going from strife to strife<br \/>\nEvery corner I turn almost costs me my life<br \/>\nI feel so empty, so cold, so dark<br \/>\nWhere are You, Lord? Don&#8217;t you know your son, Mark?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve asked this question many a time and I still don&#8217;t have the full answer<br \/>\nIs it because I don\u2019t trust Him enough, or maybe a cancer?<br \/>\nA cancer that destroys the body, not physical in nature<br \/>\nIt wreaks havoc in the soul and causes me to think I\u2019m a failure<\/p>\n<p>Lord hear my prayer, this is my plea<br \/>\nI want my life to be whole and to live free<br \/>\nMy life is not perfect but that was never the aim<br \/>\nHelp me imitate Your son, David, and the great man he became<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>David&#8217;s Secret by\u00a0Marcus Mikhail What was your secret, David?
