Ever seen trees sway in the wind?
They may look like they’re struggling—but the wind is making them stronger. It forces them to develop deeper roots. Builds tougher trunks. Prepares them for future storms.
Trees that face wind grow sturdier than those raised in still, sheltered air. God works the same way in us. We often pray for peace and comfort. But God doesn’t always remove the wind. Often He uses it: Not to break us, but to build us. Not to crush us, but to strengthen our roots.
As St Paul says “We also glory in tribulations…” Because they produce perseverance, character, and hope. (Romans 5:3–4)
A life without struggle creates shallow roots. But those who face hardship with faith grow deep: They learn to pray through pain They learn to love when it’s hard They become grounded in God’s Word
So next time you find yourself swaying in the wind, Remember: . You’re not being punished. You’re being prepared. . God is shaping your character . Strengthening your faith . Growing your roots . You may not feel comfortable—But you’re being made capable.
And when the storm feels too strong, remember the disciples: “Teacher, don’t You care that we’re perishing?” Jesus simply replied “Peace, be still.” And the wind obeyed. (Mark 4:39)

6. Church Parking Now Available
St Mark’s Church is pleased to announce a new parking arrangement to better serve our congregation and community.
We have secured exclusive access to the Arncliffe West Infants School Car Park on Sunday mornings every week.
Location: Arncliffe West Infants School Car Park, Loftus Street
Let’s make good use of this generous opportunity to help ease parking for our neighbours and strengthen our ties with the local community.
Important to note: The carpark will be locked from 1pm on Sundays, so please ensure your cars are removed before this time.

هل سبق ورأيت أشجارًا تتمايل في مهب الريح؟ ️ قد تبدو وكأنها تُكافح، لكن الرياح تُقويها. ️ تُجبرها على ترسيخ جذورها. تُبني جذوعًا أقوى. تُهيئها للعواصف المُستقبلية. الأشجار التي تُواجه الرياح تنمو أكثر صلابة من تلك التي تُزرع في هواء ساكن ومُحمي. يعمل الله فينا بالطريقة نفسها. كثيرًا ما نطلب من الله السلام والراحة. لكن الله لا يُزيل الريح دائمًا. غالبًا ما يستخدمها: لا ليُحطمنا، بل ليبنينا. لا ليسحقنا، بل ليُقوي جذورنا. كما يقول القديس بولس: ” بَلْ نَفْتَخِرُ أَيْضًا فِي ٱلضِّيقَاتِ، عَالِمِينَ أَنَّ ٱلضِّيقَ يُنْشِئُ صَبْرًا، وَٱلصَّبْرُ تَزْكِيَةً، وَٱلتَّزْكِيَةُ رَجَاءً..” رومية5 : 3-4 الحياة بلا كفاح تُنشئ جذورًا سطحية. لكن من يواجهون الشدائد بإيمان يتعمقون: يتعلمون الصلاة في قمة الألم يتعلمون المحبة في الأوقات الصعبة يترسخون في كلمة الله لذا في المرة القادمة التي تجد نفسك فيها تتأرجح في مهب الريح – تذكر: أنت لستَ تُعاقَب، بل أنت تتهيأ. الله يُشكل شخصيتك يُقوّي إيمانك يُنمّي جذورك قد لا تشعر بالراحة – لكنك ستصير قادرًا. وعندما تشتد العاصفة، تذكر التلاميذ: “يا مُعلّم، ألا تُبالي أننا نهلك؟” أجاب يسوع ببساطة: ✨ “اسكت، ابكم.” ✨ فأطاعت الريح. (مرقس ٤: ٣٩) الريح التي تُثنيك… تبنيك أيضًا.
٢. أمسية مع القديسين – السبت ٢٦ يوليو تعالوا جميعا للاحتفال الشهري بأعياد القديسين لشهر يوليو. يوم السبت ٢٦ يوليو، الساعة ٦:٣٠ مساءً، يتضمن صلاة العشية باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية، وتغيير أطياب الرفات، والزفة، وكلمات روحية قصيرة، وهدايا، وتمجيد، ثم يُختتم بتسبحة ذات أنغام طويلة جميلة، وينتهي حوالي الساعة ٩ مساءً. يلي ذلك عشاء في قاعة الكنيسة. نرجو منكم الحضور والاستمتاع بإحياء سيرة القديسين، شفاعتهم تكون معنا جميعًا.
