I would like to share a message from a young woman in Egypt that deeply touched me.

 

Iman (not her real name) has been married for ten years and has been unable to have children. For the past two years, St Wanas Kids Charity sponsored her through its IVF program for women in need. Sadly, the treatment was unsuccessful. Yet she sent us a message revealing a humble and contrite heart that pleases God and moves us deeply.

Here is her remarkable message:

Dear servants of St Wanas,

It seems that having children was not God’s will for me. I am truly sorry for burdening you with my situation.

 

I feel unworthy of all the money you spent on me when so many others deserve this support more. I truly do not deserve your help and kindness. I am a sinner. I had hoped to bring you joy by sharing better news.

 

For the past two years, my heart’s desire has been to bring you good news. However, I fully accept God’s will that I will not become a mother. I accept this fully because I know that I am a sinner, but God is always good.

Again, I thank you deeply for your care.

Held at 9am on the first Saturday of every month in the St Wanas (Kids) Church at St Mark’s, the Low Sensory Liturgy is for children and their families who would benefit from a quieter liturgy.

4. God’s Love meeting Spiritual day

5th October 2026

Spiritual Day is on Monday 5 October 2026 (Public Holiday).

 

Theme: “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

 

The day begins with the Liturgy at 8:30am and concludes at 2:00pm.

 

The program includes a Bible study, hymns, and spiritual reflections by Fr. Yacoub and Mr. Magdy Kilada.

 

Breakfast and a light lunch will be provided.

5. Bereavement Announcement Update for beloved

Nawara (Nora) Hermena

 

“To depart and be with Christ, which is far better.” — Philippians 1:23

 

With faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and the hope of the resurrection we announce the repose of the blessed soul of our beloved mother Nawara Hermena on Tuesday 29 September 2026.

 

Nawara was the loving wife of Zakaria Hermena, adored mother of Hanan and her husband Talaat Tadrous, Manal and her husband Usama Attalla, Irini and her husband Isaac Bishara and Samuel and his wife Sarah Hermena.

 

Beloved grandmother of Mark and his wife Marina Tadrous, Marina and her husband Anthony Balamon, Maria Tadrous and her fiancé David Beshara, Miriam, Philopateer and Heleana Attalla, Raphael, Emmanuel and Isabella Bishara, Jacob and Oliver Hermena, and proud great grandmother of Anastasia Balamon.

 

Nawara is the aunt of Awny and his wife Mariam Boulos, and great aunt to their children Matilda, Markorious and Alexa.

 

Funeral will be on Tuesday 6^th October at 10am at St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church, Arncliffe.

Burial will be at Rookwood Cemetery followed by Third Day Prayers in the Church Hall.

 

May God bless her beautiful soul in the Paradise of Joy, and grant peace and comfort to family and friends.

أود أن أشارككم رسالة من شابة مصرية أثّرت فيّ جداً . إيمان (ليس اسمها الحقيقي) متزوجة منذ عشر سنوات، ولم تتمكن من الإنجاب. وعلى مدى العامين الماضيين، تكفّلت مؤسسة القديس أنبا ونس الخيرية للأطفال برعايتها من خلال برنامج أطفال الأنابيب (IVF) المخصص للنساء اللاتي في احتياج.

وللأسف، لم ينجح العلاج. ومع ذلك، أرسلت إلينا رسالة كشفت عن قلب متواضع ونادم، وهو قلب يُرضي الله ويحرّك مشاعرنا بشدة.

بإيماننا بربنا يسوع المسيح، ورجاء القيامة، نعلن انتقال روح أمنا الحبيبة المباركة نوارا هرمينا إلى الأمجاد السماوية يوم الثلاثاء الموافق ٢٩ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٦.

كانت نوارا الزوجة المحبة لزوجها زكريا هرمينا، والأم المحبوبة لكل من حنان وزوجها طلعت تادرس، منال وزوجها أسامة عطا الله، إيريني وزوجها إسحق بشارة، وصموئيل وزوجته سارة هرمينا.

وهي الجدة المحبوبة لكل من مارك وزوجته مارينا تادرس، مارينا وزوجها أنتوني بلامون، ماريا تادرس وخطيبها ديفيد بشارة، مريم، فيلوباتير، وهيلانة عطا الله، رافائيل، إيمانويل، وإيزابيلا بشارة، يعقوب وأوليفر هرمينا، والجدة الكبرى الفخورة بحفيدتها انستاسيا بلامون.

نوارا هي خالة عوني وزوجته مريم بولس والخالة الكبرى لأولادهم ماتيلدا ومكاريوس واليكسا

تقام صلاة الجناز يوم الثلاثاء ٦ أكتوبر في تمام الساعة ١٠ صباحًا في كنيسة القديس مار مرقس القبطية الأرثوذكسية بأرنكليف.

وسيتم الدفن في مقابر روكوود، يليه صلاة الثالث في قاعة الكنيسة.

الرب ينيح روحها في فردوس النعيم، ويمنح السلام والتعزية للعائلة وكل أحبائها.
