The 2015 Quiet Time program is a daily Bible reading program centered around weekly themes. Each day there is a Bible passage to be read followed by a commentary from the Church Fathers.
“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed” Mark 1:35
Following on from the success of the Quiet Time program of 2014, St. Mark’s Church is pleased to present to you the schedule of readings and contemplations for the Quiet Time program of 2015. Countless youth and servants benefited greatly from the Bible readings and contemplations of the Church fathers last year, and it is our sincere prayer that the same will happen in this coming year. Once again, the selected Bible passages have been chosen to follow a particular theme each week. We pray that we all live the message of each week in our lives and in our service. To aid in our contemplations, each reading is coupled with a relevant spiritual commentary, aiming to stimulate reflection and prayer. We pray that we may approach each week in the spirit of prayer and solitude with the Lord, just as He taught us when “He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed”.
